TAX & BANKING PORTAL Welcome to the ADP Tax and Banking Portal! The Home page is your one-stop location to access and manage your Tax, Compliance, and Payments products and services. The Tax & Banking Portal Quick Reference Guide provides you with an overview of the Home page and includes the features and functions. Products, services, or application role authorizations for individual users are based on assignments by your company s Client Master or Client Administrator, and/or based on company-level products and services used by your company. Features & Functions This section provides a general overview of the features and functions of the Home page. Links On the upper right corner of the Home page is an additional location to find links relevant to your ADP products and services. Click Links to display available links. Preferences The Preferences link is at the top right of the page. This feature allows users to set or modify Communication and Security preferences. The Communication settings allow you choose to receive or opt out of the delivery of notices to your contact e-mail address, and in some instances the Notification Center. Click Communication to display the Process options. Click the Plus sign for each process to view and update the settings for receiving e-mails and notifications on the site. Click Security to update your password or to change your security questions and answers which will be applied to all applications and products assigned to your Security Management, formerly Netsecure credentials. Message Center Envelope Indicator Located on the far right of the menu bar, the number displayed is the total of unread notices in the Notification Center. Click the indicator to display a list with five of the most recent unread notifications. Click View All Messages to return to a full view of the Notification Center. Auto-Archive Communication messages in the Notification Center will automatically be archived after a default of 180 days. To change the preference setting, click the Auto-Archive link to display a window that allows you to change the 180 day default. Use the drop-down menu to select 30, 60, or 90 days. Click Done to complete the process. Display Mode The Full Screen icon is used to open the display mode for that window to full-screen. Click to toggle the display mode. Menu Bar The Menu bar located at the top of the page provides sub-menu links to processing, reports, and setup while the sections within the page provide both specific and general communication details and information. Name Home Myself Process Information Use to return to the Home page from other pages. Displays your basic permissions. Displays a sub-menu with links to available Process tools. The following sections and tools are available based on your permissions: Payroll Tax Agency Notice Manager Agency Notice Manager (ANM) provides information on active and completed agency notices including links to the notice image, notice details, and response packages. Amendment and Special Filing Amendment and Special Filing allows the user to search for a current or completed amendment or special filing. Wage Payments Check Inquiry Clients using Check Management and Reversals can process a check inquiry from this link. Request Check Copy This link can be used by clients using the check feature of Check Management and Reversals to request a copy of a cashed check. Stop Payment Check Management and Reversals clients can request a stop payment on a check or a reversal of a direct deposit from this link. October 2014 4 ADP Confidential & Proprietary Information
Name Reports Information Displays a sub-menu with reports located in Tax Reporting Online and other tasks. Tax Reporting Online reports are accessed by their high-level group such as Annual, Agency Notice, and Periodic. This link includes access to the following reports based on user permissions: Payroll Tax Annual 940 Filing, SOD Annual Agency Notice Agency Notice, Agency Notice Package Amendment/Special Filing Amendment/Special Filing, Amendment/Special Filing Package Funding/Invoicing Impound Reconciliation, Invoice, Invoice Image Periodic Tax Ledger, Tax Summary Profile Maintenance Applied for IDs, Company ID Profile, Company Profile, Tax Filing Profile Change Quarterly 941 Filing, Employee Wage Detail Local, Employee Wage Detail State, SOD Quarterly, Wage Detail Totals Wage Payments Transaction Status Transaction Status Report for check requests, stop payments, and direct deposit reversals Uncashed/Refund Uncashed/Refunded report for Wage Payments clients October 2014 5 ADP Confidential & Proprietary Information
Name Setup Information Displays a sub-menu to access various setup tools to add and change user permissions. The following Security resources are available based on the user role: Access Permissions Provides access to where profiles and user access are managed. Account Profiles Provides access to the Security Services Administration Website. Security Management Provides access to the Security Management Website. ADP News and ADP Quick Links At the bottom of the Home page, ADP News and ADP Quick Links provide all users with tax and ADP related information. Information displayed here may include links to publications, information on tax changes, and links to other sites. October 2014 6 ADP Confidential & Proprietary Information
Notification Center The Notification Center, located in the middle of the Home page, includes communications or notifications specific to your account with links and details to assist in reconciling and tracking items. All/Tasks/Status The Inbox default is the All tab. The Tasks and Status tabs are designed to help you better manage actionable items and provide a clear picture of where notifications are throughout the process. Mailboxes On the left side of the screen, expand Mailboxes to view the following: Inbox Displays all new/incoming notifications and is the default folder view. Archived Displays notifications that you have moved from the Inbox to save for future reference. Trash Tracked Displays notifications that you have moved into the Trash folder. Displays all notifications that you have selected to track for quick access. To move a notification, first click the check box to select the item before choosing an action. Due Expand the Due icon to view notifications that require some type of action. Notifications that require actions are isolated and can be filtered by Today, This Week, Next Week, and Past Due. Search Use the Search feature to quickly access specific notifications using a variety of filtering fields. Click the Plus icon to expand the window to display more filtering criteria fields. Delete Notifications Use the Delete icon to remove notifications that have been selected with a check box. To delete a notification, click the check box to select the item in the first column, and then click the Delete icon. The notification will be moved to the Trash folder. NOTE: To delete an item permanently from the Trash folder, click the check box to select and click the Delete icon. Other Actions Other Actions include Mark as Read, Mark as Unread, Archive, and Print. These actions are used by first selecting the check box in the first column and then choosing the action. Multiple notifications can be selected for any of these actions. Check Box Select a check box to process a notification with a specific action. Type The Type options identify the category of notices by the corresponding icons and will display with the notifications. Tracked Tracking an item is set up by using the Action button. It is beneficial to track items such as Agency Notices, Amendments, or Special Filings that have a start and end date, and require subsequent notifications. Once a notification is flagged to be Tracked, a check mark will display, and all related notifications will be copied to the Tracked Mailbox folder for quick access. Hover Display A display feature allows you to hover over text to display full text details. For example, a shortened view of the Subject line, Client ID, or Reference ID will display all characters in the field. Notification Action Button The Action button provides additional links based on the notification. Some notifications may require an action or choose other available options based on the type and subject. An example of Action selections for a completed Agency Notice would be View Image, View Details, View Package, Track, or Untrack. October 2014 9 ADP Confidential & Proprietary Information
Notification Details The first column contains check boxes that allow you to select one or more items. The Type options identify the category of notices by the corresponding icons and will display with the notifications. This column can also be used to sort by type by clicking on the heading. The Notification sender is displayed in the From column. The following notifications may be received: Agency Notice Provides notification of agency notices received, resolved, or action required. Amendment When an amendment file is processed a notification will be sent. Notifications will also be sent when the status of an amendment changes or approvals/reviews are needed. Special Filing When a special filing file is processed a notification will be sent. Notifications will also be sent when the status of a special filing changes or approvals/reviews are needed. Tax Reporting Tax Reporting will create notifications when reports that are not immediately available are ready to be viewed. Wage Payments Wage Payments creates a notification when the Uncashed/Refund Check report is available to view. The Subject further defines the notification by displaying a description. Depending on the notification, click the Subject link to display additional information. (See example.) In addition, a link to View Details can be accessed from this open view as well as by using the Action button which opens a new window with more details for this item. For example on Agency Notice, the subject provides the Company name and Branch/Company Code, Jurisdiction, and Tax Type. Details will vary depending on the system which originates the notice.
