WELCOME TO A LONG STANDING HISTORY Established in 1942, Astilleros pioneered the construction of a great variety of vessels including trawlers, container ships, salvage, antipollution and refrigerated cargo vessels. The end of the 70 s marked a turning point with the conversion of Astilleros into building large motor yachts and a three mast schooner; Jessica today called Adix was the first of its class to be constructed in the world since the 20 s. In the early 90 s it was clear that Mallorca had become more and more the center of the Mediterranean superyacht scene and Astilleros de Mallorca adapted to the requirements of the up and coming market. The winning formula was the dedication of all its resources to lay the foundation of today s refit and repair branch on the island. The yard s workforce conserves the rich heritage of the old artisan s tradition and has constantly kept an eye on the future, investing in upgrading the facilities with the latest in technology and machinery.
A FULLY EQUIPPED SPECIALIZED SHIPYARD MAIN SITE An integrated refit and repair centre demands the most modern working methods and tooling. All regular repair trades for a yacht can be found within the shipyard facilities. Astilleros de Mallorca have invested heavily, upgrading the facilities with the latest in technology and machinery. Among many other modernizing features established recently to optimize our capacities, we are satisfied with the great results brought by the Japanese 5s System, which is helping us to improve and create a more organized and pleasant work environment. WE HAVE EXPANDED OUR CAPACITIES STP SITE Astilleros de Mallorca have embraced the opportunities that the STP facilities have to offer and have expanded their business premises into this new working area; thus increasing their haul-out and working capacities. Astilleros have invested in setting up new workshops. The professional Astilleros Team at STP are located in offices 17 & 18 in the RS Global Building and the unique, fully functioning mechanical and metal workshops are available for any specific job or complete refit. No matter where your haul out takes place, Astilleros will offer an integrated and efficient service. TRAVEL LIFT There are now five travel lifts in STP ranging from 30 tonnes lifting capacity to their largest lift of 700 tonnes. There are also 53 berths, 55.000m 2 dry dock area and 6 Keel pits plus a fuel dock. BEST LOCATION IN THE MEDITERRANEAN Astilleros de Mallorca has two locations, the main facility and new STP facility. They are both strategically located on the edge of the city of Palma, adjacent to the Real Club Nautico de Palma and Club de Mar. Mallorca enjoys a typical Mediterranean climate of hot, dry summers and mild winters. The prevailing winds come from the northwest although during the summer, winds usually blow from the east. Sailors can count on the local breeze from the sea known as the embat and you can expect it to arrive around 10 AM and die away at 18 PM. Palma de Mallorca airport, is a ten minute drive from both of the shipyards locations and one of the best connections to the western Mediterranean and most of Europe s capitals and major cities.
