RIDA Development Corporation Corporate and Hotel Project Overview Conference Hotel Public/Private Partnerships
RIDA Development Corporation RIDA Development Corporation is an internationally recognized real estate organization that has created and invested in groundbreaking and economically successful office, residential, industrial, hospitality, mixed-use, convention and retail developments for more than forty years. Founded in 1972, David Mitzner built RIDA into a first-class real estate organization of uncompromising integrity dedicated to the development of, and investment in, economically successful real estate of the highest quality. As one of the United States most active conference hotel developers in the last decade, RIDA s major hotel development projects have earned it a reputation as one of the industry s most creative development teams. Flagship hotels owned and developed by RIDA include the 720-room $250 million Omni Resort at ChampionsGate and the 1,400- room Hilton Orlando, a $400 million development, which was the largest non-casino hotel completed in the United States in 2009. RIDA, because of the company s hotel convention center experience, was brought in to oversee the redevelopment and act as Construction Manager on behalf of the owner of the $275 million transformation of the 1,200-room Hyatt New Orleans, completed in October 2011. RIDA recently broke ground on the 1,000-room, $355 million Marriott Marquis Houston and has begun development of the 1,500-room, $800 million Gaylord Colorado. Rida has a longstanding partnership with Ares Management with whom we have co-invested in over $3 billion worth of acquisitions and development on three continents. As the managing partner of over 14 million square feet of real estate, RIDA is one of the largest private real estate investors in Eastern and Central Europe with substantial assets in the United States, giving RIDA the capacity to handle even the largest projects. Worldwide, RIDA today is the current managing partner of and is currently developing properties totaling together in excess of $5 billion.
