Students will observe and relate sculpture through nature by constructing a large sculpture based on a seed pod using papier Mache and chicken wire armature. 1f. Students will have an understanding of subtractive sculpture by doing a figurative piece using Styrofoam. 1g. Students will learn to do a additive sculpture using fabricated steel and found objects and welding them together. The teacher will evaluate students projects based on their understanding of technique, craftsmanship and creative thinking.
