Digital Persona Fingerprint Reader Installation The link to download the Fingerprint Reader Software for AXIS-ACH is http://corpcu.com/fingerprint-reader-software This will begin the download for the drivers. Save the.zip file to a common location (preferably your desktop). After the download is complete, extract the contents of the.zip file by right clicking on the file and selecting extract all. After the files have been extracted, run the SETUP file to begin the installation process. NOTE: You must have adminstrative priviliges on the PC to install the software. Follow the DigitalPersona Online Client installation wizard. Select I accept the terms in the license agreement under the end-user license agreement.

Leave the destination folder as the default. Click Install and the client software and fingerprint reader drivers will begin installing. Once the installation is complete, you will be prompted to restart your system. Click Yes. After you have restarted your system, you can plug in the fingerprint reader to any available USB port. It will take a moment while the system prepares the device to be used. Once the device is ready to use you will see the device under devices and printers (Windows 7) or in device manager (Windows XP).

Open your Internet browser and type the ACH system URL https://axis.corpcu.com. When you visit the login page for the first time with the fingerprint reader installed you will be prompted with a message stating that the webpage wants to run the DpOnline Client from DigitalPersona. Click Allow or Run Add-On and the rest of the page will load. Next to And/Or Fingerprint you should now see the message Touch the Sensor. This indicates that there is now a fingerprint reader connected to your PC. Enter your username and password, select Fingerprint Management, and click Login to begin the fingerprint registration process. Once you click the login button, you will be presented with the Fingerprint Authentication Management window below.

To register your finger with the system, click Register. You will be presented with the Registration screen below. Choose the finger you wish to register by clicking the finger on the screen. This will move you to the next step, which is displayed below. You will be asked to repeatedly touch the fingerprint device until the system has successfully registered your finger. This is generally four times but may be more if the system does not properly read your fingerprint. Once you have successfully registered your finger, you will be returned to the Fingerprint Authentication Management screen with a message stating you have successfully registered your fingerprint. Click on the link that says, Click here to return to the Login Page and you will be returned to the main system login page. Enter your username and password and touch the fingerprint recognition device and you will now have access to the system.

Fingerprint Reader FAQ and Troubleshooting Guide I click on Register to register a new Fingerprint and nothing happens? You should see a new screen for Fingerprint Enrollment. Make sure to disable any pop-up blockers for this site. If you have any web filtering or other Internet browser security measures in place you may need contact your IS department to make sure you are not being blocked. Why does the login screen show Service Unavailable under the password field? Either the fingerprint reader did not install properly or the web browser is not recognizing the installed reader. Make sure the computer system requirements and web browser are compatible with the fingerprint reader. Try closing all browser windows and attempt again, you may need to clear your browser cookies. Try reinstalling the fingerprint reader if it still shows Service Unavailable at the login screen. Why doesn t the system recognize my fingerprint? Sometimes fingerprints can be more worn on fingers that are primarily used. The recommended method to register fingerprints is to use one of the last three fingers (middle, ring, or pinky finger) on your non-dominant hand. Also, dry fingers sometimes cause the reader to fail. Using hand lotion or rubbing your finger on your forehead before placing it on the reader sometimes helps. If this does not help, try registering your fingerprint again or using a different finger. I have a registered fingerprint, but I m having trouble logging in why? If you are having issues logging into the system, here are some tips to help get a good fingerprint scan. If the scanner cannot read your fingerprint, the system will tell you the information you have entered is not correct. 1. If you have dry hands, try applying lotion before scanning. 2. Pressing too long or too hard can cause a reading error. 3. The scanner may need to be cleaned. The best way to do this is with a piece of tape. 4. Make sure you are using the correct finger. You must use the same finger you successfully registered when initially logging into the system 5. If you have cold hands, try warming your scanning finger by holding or blowing on your finger. During the software installation, setup prompted me to plug in the reader. I did, but nothing happened. Why? In a normal installation, the setup will prompt you to plug in the reader. Once the reader is plugged in, you should see some activity on your monitor. The Windows Found New Device Wizard dialog box should appear, informing you that it has detected a new device and that it will automatically find all the necessary drivers. The dialog box will disappear when it is finished. The red light on the reader should turn on and you can continue with the installation. If you plug in the reader as instructed but see no activity, this indicates that either your USB port is not setup correctly or the Windows Found New Device Wizard did not recognize the reader. Try the following: Disconnect the reader. From the Control Panel, go to System, go to Device Manager. Remove the U.are.U fingerprint device driver from Biometric or Scanning Device section. Connect the reader again. The USB driver will be installed again. If you still have problems, it is most likely that the USB hardware is not setup correctly. Go into your system BIOS and make sure that the USB settings are set to enable. Refer to the documentation that came with your PC for instructions.

The reader light keeps blinking. Why? Older readers sometimes blink if there is a buildup of dust on the fingerprint window area. The reader can be easily cleaned by applying the sticky side of a piece of Scotch tape on the window and peeling it away or can be cleaned with a cloth dampened with a mild ammonia-based glass cleaner. What web browsers are compatible with the fingerprint reader? We recommend Microsoft Internet Explorer. Versions 11 through 6 are compatible, 32-bit versions only. IE 10 and 11 in Windows 8 and 8.1 are being tested. Compatibility view settings may need to be adjusted. What other system requirements are there to install the fingerprint reader? Windows 7 or newer -or- Vista -or- 32 bit XP SP3 -or- 32 bit XP SP2 with the latest Windows Installer 1 Ghz 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor 512 MB of system memory or more support for DirectX 9 graphics 32 MB of graphics memory or more 90 MB hard disk space. Your software comes with a readme.txt file, which includes the latest system requirements for that particular release. You should always check this file to verify system requirements. Occasionally the fingerprint reader will make a loud beeping sound when I am trying to login. Is something wrong? This usually means the reader cannot get a good scan of your fingerprint. Make sure when placing your finger on the reader that it is making good contact with the surface of the reader and your finger is not on an angle or partially lifted off of the reader. Try placing your finger on the reader again to make better contact. Ruling out potential hardware issues: Make sure the Digital Persona application is being installed in the default location. Make sure you are using the 32-bit version of Internet Explorer. Make sure the fingerprint reader is securely plugged in to the USB port. Some PC manufacturer s preinstalled software can interfere with the installation of the fingerprint reader. Uninstall any unnecessary programs before installing the fingerprint reader software. If everything works fine until an update, you might try rolling back your drivers for the reader. Do this from the Windows Device Manager in the Windows Control panel. Under Biometric devices (or wherever the fingerprint reader is) access the fingerprint reader s properties. If a previous driver is available to return to the roll back driver button will be enabled. If nothing shows up in the Windows Device Manager under either Biometric Devices or even Unknown Devices and your fingerprint reader is built-in or embedded into your laptop then there's a good chance there's a hardware issue. If the hardware is working and the device is not seen or detected by Digital Persona then you might have a driver issue. Usually this can be remedied by reinstalling the Digital Persona software as the installation also installs the drivers. I have tried everything now what do I do? You can contact Digital Persona support directly at (877) 378-2740 and using option 6 about the setup of the device. You will need to let their support know that you are with Corporate Central Credit Union. This will ensure you are getting the best service available.
