Waste and energy concepts for people and environment German American Bio Energy Business Conference June, 23, 2015 Raleigh, North Carolina Biological waste is your CO² free goldmine Let us prove it! Mr. Waldemar KLAPP (CEO) Mr. Darius KLAPP (Marketing/PR)

About us A consortium of well-versed companies in: - engineering consultancies - plant manufacturers - development and distribution Focus on promoting climate-friendly and energy-conserving greenenergy projects We are interested in meetings with: Industrial and commercial companies, municipal enterprises and farms who have problems with their residual and waste materials, quality of soil, and soil contamination, who are searching for non-polluting utilizations of these waste materials and by this producing energy and who urge to improve their soil quality. Private and institutional investors, leasing-companies, financial institutions, funding bodies/promotional organizations promoting and developing projects in North America. Universities, research facilities/institutions in regards to study areas such as; thermal treatment of biomass, sewage sludge treatment, production and application of vegetable carbon, humus formation and

About us KLAPP & PARTNERS is a medium-sized company, a consortium of well-versed engineering consultancies and plant manufacturers ( Made in Germany e.g. companies such as ThyssenKrupp, Visser & Smit Hanab, STEROS) that operate in the sectors of project development, project management, and project investment. The focus is on promoting climatefriendly and energy-conserving CO² free green-energy projects to ensure a local culture of sustainability. Products & Services Services include everything from the planning of the project to the final turnkey handover of 1 MW plants producing biochar as well as biomass power plants with an overall performance from 6,5 MW el. to 20 MW el. power in one power block. Development and distribution of innovative thermal treatment plants dedicated to treat non-food biomass (household, municipal, commercial, industrial and institutional green waste, sewage sludge and other natural waste) in order to produce energy and biocharcoal(vegetable carbon).

Decentralized thermal biomass combustion Two CO² free different systems: I. Climate and environmental protection by soil regeneration ( Terra Pretta ) -The 3R-KSV - method -Project Biochar production and COMPOSTING- and SOIL-PLANT II. Sustainable and CO²-neutral energy from biogenic residues and waste materials -The NEW KSW-method

Project participants:

Decentralized thermal biomass combustion Treats different organic wastes sewage sludge kitchen waste loppings/biomass animal carcasses

Soil erosion problem

Decentralized thermal biomass combustion SOLUTION innovative, robust, standardized technology Made in Germany profitable investment easy handling self-sufficient energy process excess energy, heating and cooling low maintenance controlling via internet: laptops, smartphones no additional staff required higher final value

I. Biochar-plant

I. Method Description

I. Method Description The biomass passes via a metering device to the reactor and is there heated up to 600 C/1100 F. The material is carbonised to biocharcoal in absence of oxygen rather than burned. This produces a gas that is completely burned in a combustion chamber in compliance with the legal emission limits. The high energy from the combustion gas is used to heat the biocharcoal reactors and can, in addition, be used by other industrial or peripheral consumers. The endproduct of this process is BIOCHARCOAL
