HCW 1000 NEW TYPE OF LIGHT MACHINE FROM SKODA
INTRODUCTION HCW 1000 ŠKODA MACHINE TOOL a.s. continues its more than 100 years old tradition of high-precision machine tool manufacturing. Based on market situational analysis, the company has decided to expand the present product scope by the table type milling and boring machine ŠKODA HCW 1000 with spindle dia. 130 mm. This machine tool, the smallest of the HCW horizontal machine series, is intended for machining of box-like work pieces of complex shape with application in power generation, transport vehicles and equipment, chemical and construction manufacturing industries. The machine concept is based on a T-arrangement with the turntable travelling in longitudinal direction and the traversing column including the headstock. The headstock travels in the vertical direction along the column and accommodates an extendable spindle of diameter 130 mm. The machine can be mounted on a simple foundation. The machine design follows the latest trends in the machine tool construction with focus on maximum operator comfort. The overall machine construction re ects the long-term experience and expertise derived from the design of other machine tools of the ŠKODA family. On customer s request, the Sinumeric 840D SL machine control system supplied as a standard accessory can be replaced by the Heidenhain or Fanuc systems. All machine control functions are accommodated at the central control panel located in the stationary operator cabin mounted on the machine foundation. Among the standard accessories is a portable control panel with selected machine control elements. The machine safety concept meets the CE requirements. The over all workstation is fenced in with partitions 2,500mm high provided withan entry door. The machine capabilities can be suitable extended by technological accessories such as a chaintype tool replacement system with a tool magazine of the capacity up to 60 tools, a robotic tool replacement system with a tool magazine of the capacity up to 120 tools, various milling and boring heads, tool and work-piece measurement probes or a chip conveyor. The turntable is available in two loading options: 12 or 25t. In the latter case, the rotating plate can be replaced by a technological palette carrier. 2
