NETWORKING EXPERTISE. 1

PORTRAIT FOCUSED ON THE FUTURE Building and growing a company is a daunting challenge. Success depends on a wide range of inter-related factors. But nothing is more important than an environment that encourages and promotes achievement while pooling and networking expertise. An environment such as Technopark Zürich. The future of Switzerland as a centre of scientific activity depends on maintaining its competitive edge in technology. It also depends on successfully exploiting the country s strengths in the sciences to create products and services that dominate the marketplace. On its growing campus of more than 47,000 m2, Technopark Zurich has been bringing together important players in the fields of science, technology and business since 1993. As Switzerland s leading knowledge and technology transfer hub, the location is particularly attractive to start-ups eager to position themselves in the market. Technopark Zurich offers a stimulating environment that brings together a range of skills and expertise essential for the successful establishment of a new business. A tangible result is the creation of quality jobs that strengthen the overall economy. By a careful selection of tenants and with just the right balance of industries, disciplines, universities, research institutes and start-ups, the Techno park Zurich brand has become universally recognised as a mark of excellence. Technopark Zurich is administered by a privately financed foundation. The property is owned by the shareholders, Swiss Life and Zürcher Kantonalbank, which support young entrepreneurs and technology transfer through the foundation. 2 3
