Field Devices Smoke Detectors & Heat Sensors Emergi-Lite: Orbis brings the latest in fire detector microprocessor technology to the Firetec and Eurofire systems. Non-addressable (conventional) smoke and heat sensors respond to fire situations within a given zone, sending a signal to the fire panel, which will indicate a fire condition and sound the alarm. Orbis provides valuable core features, with high reliability, a marked reduction in unwanted false alarms, complemented by operational and maintenance enhancements. StartUp Correct installation a flashing red LED. Continuity link Zone wiring can be voltage tested before commissioning. Wide angle optics Responsive to fires with black or white smoke. DustDefy Dust ingress prevented while airflow is unimpeded. Transient Rejection Abnormal readings are filtered out to reduce false alarms. DirtAlert A flashing yellow LED will indicate when the drift compensation limit has been reached. SensAlert A flashing yellow LED indicates incorrect sensor operation. Fast Test A 4 second test confirms correct detector operation. TimeSaver base An open and accessible design. E-Z Fit slots Remove and refit the base without dismounting the fixing screws FAPO-OPT FAPO-MUS Optical Smoke Detector FAPO-OPT The optical detector is designed to respond to a broad spectrum of fires reliably. The sensor takes atmospheric samples every 4 seconds, which are processed by microprocessor to eliminate false alarms, and give a true alarm state when needed. Optical smoke and thermally enhanced detector FAPO-MUS The detector uses optical and heat sensing technology in deciding when to trigger an alarm condition. The unit is designed as a smoke detector and cannot be switched from smoke to heat detection. Heat detector - Rate of rise FAPO-RR1 FAPO-RR2 FAPO-RR3 The heat detector will monitor the rate of temperature increase in the vicinity and will also be triggered when a fixed upper threshold temperature level is exceeded. Readings are taken every 2 seconds, the stored values are compared against a preset value to decide if an alarm level has been reached. Temperature thresholds: RR1= 50 C, RR2 = 65 C, RR3 = 80 C Heat detector Fixed temperature FAPO-HR1 FAPO-HR2 FAPO-HR3 The fixed (static) heat detector will trigger when a preset upper temperature threshold is exceeded at the sensor. Temperature thresholds: HF1= 50 C, HF2 = 65 C, HF3 = 80 C Detector base The standard detector base has a diode fitted beneath the connectors. A link in the base allows for voltage testing of zone wiring before commissioning. FAPO-TDB Detector indicator remote use FAP6-P10 A semi-flush pattress with LED indicator to show when a hidden detector (say a duct device) has operated. FAPO-RR1 FAPO-HR3 FAPO-TDB is a registered trademark of Apollo Fire Detectors Ltd FAP6-P10

Optical beam smoke detectors The beam detectors listed are designed to provide detection over large open areas with a ceiling height above 8m, where point detectors are inappropriate (typically a warehouse space, hotel atrium or large auditorium). Optical beam smoke detector: Transmitter to receiver range 100m FBEAM-2000 The set comprises a control unit mounted at low level with a transmitter and a receiver unit mounted facing each other at high level. The signal passing between them is analysed for smoke presence to activate an alarm condition. Optical beam smoke detector: Reflective type range 50m FBEAMR50 Optical beam smoke detector: Reflective type range 100m FBEAMR100 An infra-red transmitter and receiver are housed in a single body. The signal is aimed at a reflector on the opposite wall and the return is analysed for smoke presence. A fire condition is activated if a predetermined level is reached.
