LIVE WORKING IN THE CEZ DISTRIBUTION SERVICES SEGMENTATION BY VOLTAGE LEVELS LOW VOLTAGE All CEZ Distribution Services company workers are trained in LV LW procedures All third party workers must be certified for LV live working by authorized body Required range: overhead lines, cables, distribution fuse boxes Major activity - installation of insulated tubes on bare conductors, connecting of new consumer from disconnector or fuse distribution box, branches from bare or insulated overhead lines, installation of overvoltage limiters Minor activity branching of cable lines, tensioning of bare conductors, replacement of insulator pulley MEDIUM VOLTAGE Company own workers only Dry cleaning of the distribution transformer station Overhead lines specially selected, educated and trained LW teams 3

LIVE WORKING TRAINING LOW VOLTAGE There are three low voltage live working training centers in the Czech Republic. Training polygons are situated in covered halls so that working during all weather conditions is possible. Following the successful passing of the training and tests all participants will get certificate, which is valid for period of three years. MEDIUM VOLTAGE Live working training is performed on the CEZ Distribution own polygon. The training is provided by CEZ Distribution services stuff, LW supervisors skilled workers, specially educated. 4

SAIDI AND SAIFI SET BY ERÚ, THE CZECH ENERGY REGULATORY BODY HLNZ Highest level of neutral zone LLNZ Lowest level of neutral zone AQ Achieved quality during assessed period AQmin Limit value of quality performace for bonus AQmax Limit value of quality performace for penalty ΔPVt Financial value following performed quality ΔPVmin Maximum value of bonus ΔPVmax Maximum value of penalty STQ Standard quality level (SAIDI 2013 for CEZ: 262,7 minutes) Dependence between regulated incomes and quality of services with the application of limits and neutral zone: in case of better performing values the CEZ is rewarded. By contrast, in case of failing, the CEZ is penalized. Setting levels of the common standards of grid availability and trends of the future improvement can be a big motivation for exploitation of LW. 14 Source: Final report of the Energy Regulatory Office (ERU) on the methodology of regulation of 3rd regulatory period in the electricity and gas sector
