PARALOID AU-1164S Hydroxyl-Functional Acrylic Polyol Paraloid AU-1164S is a hydroxyl-functional acrylic polyol designed for acrylic urethane coatings. This product replaces the solid grade form Paraloid AU-1164. Its performance balance makes it an attractive candidate for conventional, highperformance, two-pack acrylic urethane coatings. When combined with aliphatic isocyanates, Paraloid AU-1164S provides excellent tint retention, toughness, and chemical resistance. Formulations based on Paraloid AU-1164S are particularly well suited for durable long-lasting color coats and clear topcoats on automobiles and trucks, storage tanks, bridges, railroad rolling stock, and other surfaces requiring heavy-duty maintenance protection.
