Managing Identities in Outlook Express Introduction Outlook Express supports e-mail identities so if more than one person uses the same computer for e-mail, each person can receive and send their own e-mail. Each person can have a separate mailbox, contact list, and personal settings. For example, a household may have a main identity for the e-mail account, but separate identities can be created for each member of the household. Additional security can be assigned to each identity by requiring a password when logging in to an identity. When a new e-mail account is created, Main Identity is used as the account identity. You can access Outlook Express using this Main Identity and then create the additional identities for the other members of your household. Introduction 3
