How to Display Your Laptop to the AirMedia Wireless System 1) Download the AirMedia Client Application onto your laptop. Students can download the Client Application as well or the Guest Application. Instructions to connect using the Guest Application are found on page 5. AirMedia Client Application Mac download: http://www.crestron.com/downloads/software/airmedia_deployable_o s_x_1.0.2.7.pkg AirMedia Client Application Windows download: http://www.crestron.com/downloads/software/airmedia_deployable_w indows_1.0.2.3.exe 2) Crestron AirMedia will create a shortcut on your desktop for future connections. Note: If you have a Mac laptop you will need to also download Soundflower to get audio to transmit from your computer. https://cycling74.com/soundflower/ 3) Open the Application and run the utility. Click OK to exit out of the WARNING window to get to the Login.

4) Turn on the classroom projection system and select the AirMedia button on the teaching station. Enter the IP address and code that is displayed on the projector screen. Click Connect. NOTE: The code will change with each use of the AirMedia device. 5) Start your presentation. Full motion video with sound is possible; however, you will notice that the video will lag behind your computer. Turn down your computer s speakers for best results. 6) You can play, pause or stop the display using the AirMedia widget which pops up once you have successfully connected. If you are using audio with your presentation, turn down your laptop s speakers. 7) Remember to close the application before you leave the classroom.

8) For the next class session, you will need to reopen the Crestron AirMedia software with the shortcut on your desktop and enter the IP address and code in the window. Click Connect. To Manage Multiple Laptops to Display on the AirMedia Wireless System The AirMedia will permit students to display to the room projector as well, thus allowing for instructor-to-student(s) interaction utilizing the classroom display. The instructor can select whose content to share or not to share. Follow these steps to prevent presentation chaos. 1) Prior to anyone connecting to the AirMedia, type the IP address of the AirMedia that is displayed on the projector onto the search bar of the web browser you are using and click enter.

2) This will bring you to the Crestron AirMedia web page. At the upper left corner of the page, click Layout Control. 1) Continue by clicking through the Advanced and Proceed windows. 2) The password for the classroom s AirMedia unit will be the building abbreviation in upper case plus the room number. Example: JHSW110 3) The Moderator control box is defaulted in the on position but if not, click that box. When students connect to the AirMedia, you will see their laptops populate the list with their UW-Stout User Name on the web page. 4) The students can connect to the AirMedia using the same Client Application as the instructor or by using the Guest Application. To use the Guest Application they should open their preferred web browser on their laptop. The AirMedia wireless connection will work on any browser. (Safari, Chrome, Firefox or Internet Explorer)

5) Type the classroom s AirMedia IP address onto the search bar of the browser you are using and click enter which will launch the AirMedia web page for the Guest Application. 6) You will see the following window in your browser. Download the Crestron AirMedia Guest Application for either Windows or Mac. If the download doesn t open automatically, open it from the download files. 7) Enter the 4 digit code that is displayed on the upper left corner of the projection screen and click enter.

8) To display the student s content, click the first box. 9) To stop their display, click the third box. 10) Be sure all students are logged out before leaving class. When everyone is logged out, you will see no names populated on the list. 11) Lastly, you must click to log out of the Moderator web page.
