ANCILLARY SERVICES Language Training and Services Language training is available at all levels: beginners, advanced, DELE preparation and examination, and private classes. Language training can be incorporated into any of our programmes or is also offered separately. We also can arrange Spring Break Tours for high school and college groups coming to Spain on language programs during their breaks in the academic year. Rounding out our offerings is immersion courses in language competency from beginners to those just wanting to increase their fluency. Classes may be held in special locations to foster increased opportunity for foreign language interaction. Language interpretation (spoken) and translation (written) services are also available. Accommodations A variety of accommodations are available. We offer accommodations in hostels, self-catering flats, university residences, host families, and hotels. We work hard to offer some of the lowest prices in town to our groups coming for educational projects. With this in mind we have created our Budget Accommodations offer. Beneficiaries are housed in self-catering flats or carefully selected hostels, and meals are typically cooked by the beneficiaries or eaten out, according to their preference and budget. This provides the best combination of comfort and amenities, while also offering a way to decrease the cost of food expenses. Rooms in flats are usually 2 twin beds per room, but all flats are different and some student flats use bunk beds. All our budget properties are centrally located, close to transportation, and offer cooking facilities. Flats offer a standard complement of small appliances providing all the comforts of home. Transportation Services Passes for public transportation as well as airport transfers are available. A variety of local transportation passes are available according to the length of stay. Travel from and to BCN airport is possible using the public transportation system (bus/ metro /train) passes. Connecting bus service is available from Regional Airports such as Girona and Reus, serviced by low-cost airlines. We offer Airport transfer services (minibus and other private transportation), or transportation can be arranged by the group. Cultural Activities, Specialized Tours and Excursions Cultural Discovery is an important component of a beneficiaries experience in a foreign country. We offer integrated and separate cultural activities and specialized tours that offer an insider's view of Spanish life, history and culture. Cultural activities can be included in any of our programmes as either project days allocated for cultural activities, or as separate activities done in the evenings or on weekends. Sample activities incorporated into project days without additional cost would include touring museums and areas of interest, and discovering different aspects of the city and Spanish culture. Activities offered as a separate budget item include learning to cook traditional dishes or dance flamenco, seeing a show, exploring the nightlife, touring the city in a double-decker bus, and excursions to areas outside the city; and themed tours such as Architectural Gems and Modernism, Catalan Pilgrimages, Gastronomical Wonders, Spanish Cava and Wine, Walking Catalunya, Birding the Ebro and Living History. Activities are arranged to suit the interests of the group. We also can arrange Spring Break Tours and City Break Tours for high school and college groups coming to Spain during their breaks in the academic year.
