ROYAL PARKS FOUNDATION EDUCATION CENTRE Hidden in a copse of trees in Hyde Park, the Royal Parks Foundation Education Centre is a secret haven in the heart of London! With a living roof, bat boxes, a private sun terrace and pond, the Centre is a fantastic resource for you and your family to discover the wonder of nature. Whether you are looking for a family day out, to learn a new skill or simply to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, there really is something for you!

Use a bat detector to identify the different species of bats before joining us around the campfire for toasted treats. It was a wonderful experience, exploring parts of the park which I ve not been to before. It felt really special being in the park that late & the interesting, informative, friendly and knowledgeable staff really made the event! Animal Magic Wed 30 & Thurs 31 March With the arrival of Spring explore our grounds and get creative as nature bursts back into life. Flower Power Wed 6 & Thurs 7 April Explore our nature trail, create crafty spring flowers or plant a seed to take home! Hedgehog Heroes Wed 1 & Thurs 2 June Spend time as a family becoming a hedgehog hero! Activities include exploring our nature trail unearthing hidden facts about our favourite garden animal, crafting your own hedgehog or learning how to design a hedgehog friendly habitat in your own garden! Wild Water Wed 10, Thurs 11 & Wed 24 Aug Discover the secret underwater life on our pond. Take part in a host of nature based activities from getting crafty in our discovery rooms to pond dipping in our sunshine pond. Hair-Raising Halloween Wed 26 & Thurs 27 October Explore our nature trail and get into the Halloween spirit by taking part in a host of spectacularly spooky activities. Meadow Madness Wed 3, Thurs 4 & Wed 17 Aug From sweep netting to arts, crafts and nature trails, there really is something for everyone.

8-11 YEAR OLDS NATURE EXPLORERS: 10:00-15:00 Nature Explorers is the perfect place for your 8-11 year old to have a fun, outdoor day of discovery during the school holidays. Simply drop your little adventurer off at our Education Centre in the heart of Hyde Park for a full day of nature inspired activities guided by our expert team. Spring Hatchings Tues 5 April 15 From pond dipping for tadpoles to discovering how birds make their nests and discovering more about the park s youngsters on our nature trail. Hedgerows and hedgehogs Tues 31 May 15 Our team will provide a full day of guided activities; build a hedgehog friendly habitat and uncover prickly facts on our nature discovery trail. Beetles and Butterflies Tues 2 Aug 15 Your little adventurer will use sweep nets to collect, identify and examine a host of species before creating some summer-inspired art to take home. Water World Tues 23 Aug 15 Go pond dipping under the surface of the sunshine pond and use digital microscopes to experience up close encounters with the pond s miniature monsters! Wild Photography Tues 25 Oct 15 Explore the wilder parts of the Park with camera in hand, taking part in some bug hunting and pond dipping! There s plenty to keep everyone entertained.

HOW TO FIND US The Royal Parks Foundation Education Centre is located in the heart of Hyde Park and is easily accessible by public transport. Arriving by tube: The closest underground stations are Marble Arch (Central Line) approx. 7 minute walk or Hyde Park Corner (Piccadilly approx. 11 minute walk). Arriving by bus: North : C2, 6, 7, 10, 16, 19, 23, 36, 52, 73, 82, 98, 113, 274, 390, 414 South : 2, 36, 137, 148, 159, 436 West : 9, 10, 14, 19, 22, 52, 74, 94, 148, 414 East : 8,15, 23, 30, 38,274 Arriving by car: There is no vehicular access to our Education Centre. The nearest parking is the Triangle Pay and Display car park, off West Carriage Drive just north of the Serpentine Bridge (approx. 7 mins walk). These will support precious wildlife habitats as well as provide stunning spring and autumn colour displays.
