The position of the floor door closer can be adjusted in the 3 directions within the cement box: Horizontal adjustment (B): 7 mm Lateral adjustment (D): 10 mm Vertical adjustment (C): 4 mm First loosen the fixing screws A and B to adjust the door closer position. Tighten the screws again after adjustment. Preparation Make the necessary cut-outs and fixing holes in the frame and vent profile for the installation of the bottom arm and the top pivot: see next page. Note: the cut-out for the connection axis on the top vent profile is only required when the distance between frame part and vent part of the top pivot is smaller than 5 mm. Bottom arm First install the small stainless steel cover plate over the cam of the door closer: see drawing below. Fix the bottom arm on the vent profile with the enclosed screws M6x25 Din965. Vent part top pivot Fix the vent part of the top pivot on the vent profile with the enclosed screws M5x15 Din965. Frame part top pivot Fix the frame part of the top pivot on the frame with the enclosed screws M6x15 Din965. If the profile allows it, a cover plate can be mounted on the frame part with the enclosed screws M5x6 Din965. Install the vent Turn the connection axis of the top pivot to raise it sufficiently by means of adjustment screw S (anti-clockwise). Install the vent gently on the axis of the floor door closer. Open the door and position the hole of the vent part directly below the connection axis. Turn the adjustment screw S clockwise to lower the axis sufficiently. Check whether both parts are properly connected to each other. Adjustment Adjust the top pivot when the vent is not perfectly horizontal. This is possible by turning adjustment screw R (adjustment range +/-3 mm). Adjust the closing speed (1), latching action (2) and backcheck (3) in function of the vent dimensions and weight. Attention: for doors opening up to 130, a door stop must be fitted. Install cover plate Install the stainless steel cover plate on the door closer (holes E) with the enclosed screws in order to provide a dust and watertight finish. k17.12 k17.12.25
