The Carson-Newman Eagle Club The Eagle Club is the fund-raising arm of the athletic program at Carson-Newman College. What began with a handful of dreamers willing to invest in their visions of athletic success has today become an ever-growing host of enthusiastic supporters throughout the state and nation. The Eagle Club s first priority is the funding of athletic scholarships. *Each Eagle Club donor s total contribution will be directed to athletic scholarships for Carson-Newman s sixteen intercollegiate sports. Hall of Fame Athletic Endowment Scholarship Program Endowment is defined as the investment of a principal sum of money in which the annual income earned from that sum is used to cover specific expenses. The purpose of the C-N Hall of Fame Athletic Endowment is to provide scholarship assistance to academically qualified student-athletes who show evidence of financial need. This endowment program is critical to the future of athletics at Carson-Newman by making our program more self-sustaining. It is fitting that this endowment program consists of many separate scholarship funds, named for some of the best that C-N has produced. The Carson-Newman Hall of Fame Endowment Scholarship Program falls in the major gift category. Any individual, not just the Hall of Fame members, can have a NAMED scholarship as part of this endowment program. It is an opportunity to make a contribution to Eagle athletics that will live on forever. A minimum of $10,000 will begin the endowment process and individually name the scholarship. Funds can be added to increase the amount of the scholarship awarded to a C-N student-athlete. All donors will be recognized in C-N Media Guides with a picture and description of the Named scholarship. Donors or family representatives will be invited to the All Sports Banquet where the scholarship will be awarded.
