The Carson-Newman Eagle Club The Eagle Club is the fund-raising arm of the athletic program at Carson-Newman College. What began with a handful of dreamers willing to invest in their visions of athletic success has today become an ever-growing host of enthusiastic supporters throughout the state and nation. The Eagle Club s first priority is the funding of athletic scholarships. *Each Eagle Club donor s total contribution will be directed to athletic scholarships for Carson-Newman s sixteen intercollegiate sports. Without your support for adequate scholarship funding, Carson-Newman would not be able to attract the caliber of student-athletes necessary to compete in NCAA Division II play. The Tradition Continues Since 1895, the Eagle athletic program has played an inportant role in the development of character, self-discipline, and competitive spirit in the young men and women at Carson-Newman College. Our student athletes participate in a number of sports at the NCAA Division II level: Baseball Basketball Cross Country Football Golf Soccer Softball Tennis Track Volleyball Wrestling In just the past several years, Carson-Newman teams have won numerous South Atlantic Conference championships. Since becoming a member of the NCAA, Eagle teams are regular participants in the play-off system for a National Championship. These types of performances are part of the Tradition That Continues. Members of the Eagle Club experience the satisfaction of joining a true athletic scholarship program... one that will insure the future of our Carson-Newman family. An added benefit for Eagle Club members is a discount on the purchase of season tickets for football, basketball, and baseball. Membership Levels Gold Eagle ($2,500-up) Super Eagle ($1,000-2,499) Soaring Eagle ($500-499) Flying Eagle ($250-499) Fighting Eagle ($100-249) Coaches Club ($50-99) As a contributor to CN Athletics, you will receive membership in good standing, with all rights and privileges, for one year.

Hall of Fame Athletic Endowment Scholarship Program Endowment is defined as the investment of a principal sum of money in which the annual income earned from that sum is used to cover specific expenses. The purpose of the C-N Hall of Fame Athletic Endowment is to provide scholarship assistance to academically qualified student-athletes who show evidence of financial need. This endowment program is critical to the future of athletics at Carson-Newman by making our program more self-sustaining. It is fitting that this endowment program consists of many separate scholarship funds, named for some of the best that C-N has produced. The Carson-Newman Hall of Fame Endowment Scholarship Program falls in the major gift category. Any individual, not just the Hall of Fame members, can have a NAMED scholarship as part of this endowment program. It is an opportunity to make a contribution to Eagle athletics that will live on forever. A minimum of $10,000 will begin the endowment process and individually name the scholarship. Funds can be added to increase the amount of the scholarship awarded to a C-N student-athlete. All donors will be recognized in C-N Media Guides with a picture and description of the Named scholarship. Donors or family representatives will be invited to the All Sports Banquet where the scholarship will be awarded. Gift Opportunities and Guidelines: Cash Securities Real Estate Trust Gifts Gift Annuity Life Insurance Retirement Plans Student-athlete will be nominated by athletic staff. Rotation of sports will be used until enough scholarships are in place to cover each sport. Student-athletes must be academically qualified to receive this scholarship.
