European Course of Cryogenics ECTS Rating: Lessons, tutorials, exercises, lab demonstrations, excursions: in total 4 x 90 min/day Total course: 15 full days: 15 x 360 min = 5400 min. 1 SWS (semester periods per week) is expected with about 14 weeks á 45 min 630 min 5400 min / 630 min 8.57 SWS As a rule of thumb 1 SWS equals 1.5 ECTS credit points. So the complete course adequately gives maximum 12 ECTS credits, even with plenty of margin. nearly all participants take part in the final exam! different scaling (German system: 1. 5; ECTS: A, B, C, D, E, F) raw data of exam results are sent to other universities (max. score, score distribution, candidates score); rating is done by each university according to local system RAL, May 29 th, 2014 Ch. Haberstroh, European Course of Cryogenics TUD - WUT NTNU 17
