Cone Health Cancer Center Welcome Cancer Center AT WESLEY LONG HOSPITAL Your First Appointment If you need to change your appointment time, please contact us toll-free at 866-822-8740. Our scheduling office is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. We prefer at least a 24-hour notice for cancellations or changes. We have designed our registration process to provide you flexibility and convenience. You will receive a pager when you check in that allows you to visit other areas of our Cancer Center until you are paged for your appointment. New patients receive an appointment card that outlines your appointments at the Cancer Center along with the location of the appointment. Maps of the Cancer Center also are available at Registration to help you find your way. Any member of the Cancer Center staff will be glad to help you. Depending on your appointment type, you may also receive an armband. This is a quality control measure used by Cone Health when dispensing medicines. Your Cancer Center The flagship Cone Health Cancer Center is on the Wesley Long Hospital campus conveniently accessible from: Wendover Avenue or Bryan Boulevard. Our modern facility expanded in 2012 to offer even more services to the community. As a leader in radiation therapy, the Cancer Center offers TomoTherapy and TrueBeam STx technologies, both firsts in North Carolina. The Cone Health team of highly trained and experienced medical professionals specializes in advanced treatment options, including brachytherapy an internal form of radiation therapy. The most common brachytherapy procedure at the Cancer Center is prostate seed implants, which provide better outcomes with far fewer side effects for most patients. Your physicians along with other members of your multidisciplinary team will devise a comprehensive treatment plan based on your individual goals and needs. Cone Health Cancer Center participates in nationally accredited clinical trials and other research programs. Your medical team may recommend that you consider participating in these trials. Please speak with your doctor for more information. Cone Health Cancer Center provides an integrated treatment program that includes ongoing wellness and support services. Our patients have access to free resources that include: psychological counseling, nutrition counseling, spiritual support, social work, genetics and complementary medicine programs including yoga, meditation and art therapy. These programs are all designed to nuture the body and soul during and after treatment.
Cone Health Cancer Center Your Visit Amenities & Services: Subway Café Level 1. Located in the corridor connecting the Cancer Center with Wesley Long Hospital, the Subway Café offers sandwiches, soups, salads, breakfast options, baked goods, sodas and specialty hot and cold coffee drinks. Wesley Long Hospital Cafeteria Level G. Located in the basement of Wesley Long Hospital, the cafeteria offers many food options, including a full salad bar, grill, soup bar and food bar. To go to the cafeteria, proceed to the main Cancer Center elevators just past the Guest Services desk in the main lobby. Go to the Garden Level, exit right, and follow the signs to Wesley Long Hospital. Doris S. Tanger Center for Patient and Family Support Level 2. The center houses many of the resources for patients, including social work, outreach, nutrition counseling, psychological counseling and spiritual support. Computers and educational materials for the public are located here. Use the stairs off the main lobby or the main elevators past the Guest Services desk in the main lobby to reach the center. Alight Foundation Level 2. Located within the Doris S. Tanger Center for Patient and Family Support, this Foundation provides limited assistance to breast cancer patients with financial needs. For more information, call (336) 832-0027. Meditation Room Level 2. Located within the Doris S. Tanger Center for Patient and Family Support, the mediation room provides a quiet space for personal reflection and relaxation. Labyrinth Level G, outside. Located just outside of the Cancer Center, the labyrinth provides an area for mediation and reflection. It is accessible from the main lobby by taking the elevator that is past the Guest Services desk to the Garden Level. Follow the signs to the labyrinth. It is accessible year round, weather permitting. Ivy Wig Salon Level 1. Located in the main lobby of Wesley Long Hospital, volunteers at the Ivy Wig Salon are available to help men and women with the sizing and purchasing of wigs. The shop is open: Tuesday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, 10:30 to 2:30 p.m. Outpatient Pharmacy 515 N. Elam Avenue. The Outpatient Pharmacy offers a convenient way to have prescriptions filled after your oncology appointments. Ask a medical team member for more information about this service. Waiting Areas: The Cancer Center provides several places for guests to relax during their visits. The main lobby offers a Welcome and Reception area where snacks and beverages are provided. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the Center. Financial Advocates Level 1 & Level G. The Financial Advocates are available to help patients with financial resources offered through local, state and federal sources. New medical oncology patients will typically meet with a member of our advocate team during their first appointment. Our radiation oncology patients will meet with an advocate on simulation day. Additional appointments can be scheduled.

Parking Free Valet Service: The Cone Health Cancer Center offers free valet services to patients and guests of the Cancer Center from 6:30 a.m. until 6:15 p.m., Monday through Friday. The service is offered at the main entrance of the Cancer Center. Our parking staff will greet you at your car and provide you with a claim ticket. Your vehicle is parked in a restricted area that allows access to valet vehicles only. For your safety, please do not leave any valuables in your vehicle. Cone Health is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Please provide the claim ticket to the parking attendant when you are ready to leave. Shuttle Service: The Cone Health Cancer Center also offers free parking for patients and guests. If you choose to self-park, we offer a free shuttle that continuously patrols the parking lot. Campus Security also may provide shuttle service. Shuttle Services are offered Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., and on Saturday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
