Agenda GEOPORTAL 2 Main productsof GEOPORTAL 2 Framework documents and tools for data harmonisation Metadata National broker (national geoportal) INSPIRE broker Geodetic and Cartographic broker SDI module Universal map module (UMM) Summary

Geoportal 2 GEOPORTAL 2 is one of the biggest projects in Poland focusing on development of Spatial Information Infrastructure (IIP) The main goal of the GEOPORTAL 2project, launched by the Head Office of Geodesy and Cartography (GUGiK), is to provide to citizens, business and public administration access to public registers containing high quality and reliable data using web services GEOPORTAL 2 concentratesmore on development of services providing access to registers containing spatial data rather than on data The project GEOPORTAL 2 is extension of a project GEOPORTAL.GOV.PL. The current version of the Geoportal, available at www.geoportal.gov.pl, is already main point of access to the Polish SDI. Last year we have delivered via Geoportal spatial information to around 4 000 000 users

Geoportal 2 The GEOPORTAL 2 Project is funded under the Innovative Economy Operational Programme (OP IE) priority axis 7 Information Society establishment of electronic administration Budget: 104 mlnpln (~ 24 mlneuro) Time frame: July 2009 December 2013

Harmonisation Harmonisation general approach Harmonisation strategy framework document for harmonisation of datasets in Poland Identification of data sources Identification of integration and harmonisation rules Development and configuration of tools for harmonisation Application of integration and harmonisation rules to the source datasets Harmonisation of data samples (iterative approach) Harmonisation of entire datasets

Harmonisation HARMONISATION STRATEGY SOURCE DATASETS HARMONISATION PROCESS DATA DELIVERY Metadata Metadata Dataset A Public registry and its legal and organisational enviroment Metadata HARMONISATION I Application of harmonisation rules Data consitency Data quality Data aquisition rules Data format. Data integration (if source data comes form more than one dataset) Technical database HARMONISATION II Data format transforation INSPIRE application schema compliance HARMONISATION III Data format transformation Data portrayal View services Metadata Direct access download services Dataset B Metadata Metadata Public registry and its legal and organisational enviroment Download services GML files compliant with INSPIRE requirements

Harmonisation Result are INSPIRE compliant harmonised datasets for following thematic categories: Transportation (2x) Cadastral parcels Geographical names Administrative units Addresses Datasets are available in INSPIRE GML format Total size of datasets is 92 GB Metadata in 8 languages: Polish, English, German, Czech, Slovakian, Ukrainian, Belarusian, Lithuanian and Russian

Metadata Metadata profile Metadata technical guidance for different types of datasets Thesaurus and dictionaries Metadata tools Metadata editor (http://edytor.gugik.gov.pl) Metadata generator (150 000 metadata files) Metadata validator GUI interface (http://walidator.geoportal.gov.pl/walidatormetadanych) WPS interface (http://walidator.geoportal.gov.pl/wpsvalidator/wpsvalidatorservice.svc)

Creation of metadata datasets + services VALIDATOR Metadata directory (Catalogue server) Metadata EDITOR or GENERATOR USER

Metadata tools Metadata tools key features Available online facilitates metadata standardisation Universal support for many metadata profiles Standards support ISO 19115, ISO 19119, ISO 19139, WPS and CSW Customisable can by applied to any ISO 19115, ISO 19119 and ISO 19139 based metadata profile

National broker National broker (national geoportal) is main access point to the Polish Spatial Information Infrastructure Metadata describing all Polish datasets and services being part of IIP should be available via national geoportal s catalogue server All IIP view services should be accessible via national geoportal

National broker map viewer Map viewer (http://mapy.geoportal.gov.pl/imap/) allows to discover metadata and view data Updated interface 3 customisable version of interface New view services New tools

National broker National broker will provide 1 CSW service 30 WMS services 7 WMTS services 15 WFS services 3 WCS services 1 OpenLS service National broker provides access to other public administration services and third parties services 82 WMS services

INSPIRE broker INSPIRE broker is main access point to the Polish INSPIRE compliant datasets and services Metadata describing all Polish INSPIRE compliant datasets and services should be available via INSPIRE broker catalogue server All INSPIRE compliant view services should be accessible via INSPIRE broker

INSPIRE broker INSPIRE broker will provide 1 CSW service 6 WMS services 6 WMTS services 6 WFS services 6 Download services 1 WCTS service Gradually with the harmonisation of next datasets by public administration organisations the number of services available at the INSPIRE broker will increase

Geodetic and cartographic broker Geodetic and cartographic broker is e-commerce tool. It allows purchase products related to the spatial data Main features include: Search functionality using both descriptive and spatial criteria Support for digital and analogue (paper) products Embedded support for download services WFS and WCS Predefined data packages

SDI Module The main goal of SDI Module is to increase number of network services published by Polish public administration The SDI Module is a integrated collection of software components designed to deliver spatial data and metadata utilizing standardized network services Public administration organisations can get the software free of charge There is possibility of hosting SDI Module for public administration: Geoportalwill host SDI modules for 13 province SDI nodes
