2016 OLYMPIC GAMES COMPETITION RULES 1. This Promotional Competition ( Competition ) is organised by Coca-Cola Africa (Proprietary) Limited ( Promoter ). 2. The Competition is open to permanent residents and citizens of South Africa over the age of 18 (eighteen) years in possession of a valid South African Identity Document except any employee, director, member, partner, agent or consultant or any person directly or indirectly who controls, or is controlled by, the Promoter and/or immediate family members of any employee, director, member, partner, agent or consultant of or person indirectly or directly in control or controlled by the Promoter, their advertising agencies, advisers, dealers, suppliers and Bottlers of beverages identified by the trademarks owned by or licensed to The Coca-Cola Company, its affiliates and/or associated companies ( Disqualified Persons ). 3. The Competition is only valid within South Africa. Participants must be within South Africa at the time of entering the Competition, for the verification process and at the time of the prizes being awarded should they be declared a winner, failing which such person will be disqualified and the draw of a replacement entry shall take place under the same terms and conditions as the first draw. 4. By entering the Competition, all participants and winners agree to be bound by these rules which will be interpreted by the Promoter, whose decision regarding any dispute will be final and binding and no correspondence shall be entered into regarding the decision. The Promoter reserves the right to amend, modify, change, postpone, suspend or cancel this Competition and any prizes, or any aspect thereof, without notice at any time, for any reason that the Promoter reasonably deems necessary. 5. The Competition for the Prizes defined in Rule 5a and Rule 5c commences on 13 June 2016 and ends on 21 August 2016, both days inclusive. The Competition for the Grand Prize (as defined in Rule 5c below) commences on 13 June 2016 and ends on 21 July 2016 ( Grand Prize Final Draw Date ). 6. There are a total of 801 704 (eight hundred and one thousand, seven hundred and four) prize items to be won. The prize items ( Prizes ) are: a. 800 000 (eight hundred thousand) x R5 airtime vouchers ( Airtime Voucher Prize ); b. 1700 (one thousand, seven hundred) exclusive headphones ( Headphone Prize ); and c. 4 (four) x Double tickets to the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, Brazil ( Grand Prize ). 7. To stand a chance of winning one of the Prizes, participants must purchase one of the following participating products within South Africa and follow the Competition entry steps set out below: Purchase any Coca-Cola, Coke Light, Coke Zero, Fanta, Sprite, Stoney in pack sizes: 2.5L; 2.25L; 2L; 500ml; 330ml, 1.25L RGB, 330ml PET, 1.5L returnable PET or 440 ml cans, or Powerade 250 ml or 500ml RTD ( Participating Product ) a. Look under the cap liner or on the can tab for their 13 (thirteen) digit unique code ( Code ); 1
b. Dial *120*2653# from a cellphone at a cost of 20c (twenty cents) / 20 (twenty) seconds; c. Follow the text prompts and confirm that they qualify to enter the Competition; Due to network restrictions, USSD sessions time-out after 120 (one hundred and twenty) seconds. If a participant successfully enters their unique code before the session times out, their entry will still be considered valid. 8. All winners will be determined by random selection. Airtime Voucher Prize and Headphone Prize possible winners will be automatically notified within the USSD session if their Code is eligible to win an Airtime Voucher Prize or a Headphone Prize. 9. All participants who send their Code as specified in Rule 6 above (irrespective of whether they have won an Airtime Voucher Prize or a Headphone Prize) are eligible up until the Grand Prize Final Draw Date for random selection where such participants stand a chance to win the Grand Prize. 10. Participants may enter the Competition as many times as they wish over the Competition period, provided that participants purchase a Participating Product each time, complete the Competition entry steps set out in Rule 6 and enter with a valid new unique 13 digit code. 11. Airtime Voucher Prizes a. Participants stand a chance of winning one Airtime Voucher Prize per participant per Competition entry across all networks. b. Where a Competition entry is drawn as a winner in accordance with rule 7 above, the cellphone number used to enter the Competition will be notified within the USSD session. Post-paid account holders are not eligible for the Airtime Voucher Prize. c. Due to the random nature of the prize distribution and potential winners not claiming their prizes, it is possible that not all Airtime Voucher Prizes will be awarded or claimed. Airtime Voucher Prizes not awarded or claimed shall revert back to the Promoter. d. Airtime Voucher Prizes must be redeemed by no later than 30 November 2016, failing which, the participant will be deemed to have rejected the Airtime Voucher Prize and it shall revert back to the Promoter. 12. Exclusive Headphones a. Participants stand a chance of winning one Headphone Prize. b. The Promoter will call the possible winners on the cellphone number used to enter the Competition. The possible winner will be called once a day for 3 (three) days and if the Promoter is not able to contact the possible winner during this time, the Promoter will move onto the next possible winner. c. The Headphone Prize will be couriered to the winner s chosen address within the Republic of South Africa within 28 (twenty-eight) working days. Couriers will attempt to contact the winner 3 (three) times on the cellphone number provided by the winner to request daytime delivery details; failure to take these calls will constitute forfeiture of the Headphone Prize. Couriers will attempt to 2
deliver the Headphone Prize at the nominated daytime delivery address; failure to be present to receive the delivery will constitute forfeiture of the Headphone Prize and the Headphone Prize will revert back to the Promoter. 13. Olympic Game Experiences a. Participants stand a chance of winning 1 (one) of 4 (four) Grand Prize. A participant can only win one Grand Prize and only one Grand Prize per household is allowed. b. The Promoter will conduct a random draw from all the entries received up until 21 July 2016 ( Grand Prize Draw Date ). c. The Promoter will call the possible winners and conduct a Competition verification process. d. Possible winners will be required to submit copies of their passport and their travelling partner s passport, within 24 hours of being contacted by the Promoter. All passports for the possible winner and travelling partner must be valid for at least 6 (six) months from the stipulated dates of travel. Travelers must be eligible for a visa to Brazil, if applicable, and are required to disclose upfront any possible reason for Embassy rejection. For the avoidance of doubt, should a possible winner be refused a visa to travel, such possible winner will be deemed not to have forfeited the Prize. Copies submitted must be emailed to the Promoter with name, passport number, date of issue and expiry date clear on the copy. Blurred or obscured copies will result in disqualification. Travelers must also comply with any other travel requirements for entry into Brazil, including any immunizations, failing which the possible winner will be deemed to have forfeited the prize. e. The Grand Prize is for the winner and a partner only. The Promoter will not accept requests to increase the number of individuals. f. Participants, whose entries have been drawn and have been confirmed as valid after the verification process, will be notified telephonically within 24 hours from receipt of valid documentation set out in rule 12c and declared a winner. The validity of such documentation is at the Promoter s discretion. g. Should the winner be unable to use the Grand Prize on the dates provided and determined by Promoters, the winner will be deemed to have forfeited the Grand Prize. In such event the Grand Prize will revert back to the Promoter. h. The winner and travelling partner will be required to sign the Promoter s indemnity form. Should the winner and/or travelling partner refuse or fail to do so for any reason whatsoever, the winner will be deemed to have forfeited the Grand Prize. In such event the Grand Prize will revert back to the Promoter. i. Travel, hotel reservations and events are subject to availability and may not be available on certain dates. Travel Dates may be varied and any or all amendments of travel dates will be at the Promoter s discretion. j. The Grand Prize includes flights, hotel accommodation and tickets to an Olympic event as determined by the Promoter and no correspondence will be entered into as to the Promoter s choice of airline, ticket class, hotel accommodation and Olympic event and event ticket class, all of which, including the length of stay, is at the Promoter s discretion. The Promoter will not 3
be responsible for any other expenses, which the winner may incur as a result of their acceptance and/or use of the Grand Prize whether foreseen or not. Ancillary costs, including but not limited to passport, additional transport, meals, personal and incidental expenses, insurance, government taxes, management fees or other fees applicable are not the responsibility of the Promoter. k. The Promoter shall not be responsible for any changes, substitution, withdrawal, cancellation or postponement of any part of the itinerary beyond its reasonable control. The Promoter is not obliged to award any other prizes in lieu if any such event is cancelled, postponed, substituted, withdrawn, changed or unavailable. l. The winner and travelling partner agree to abide by any ticketing terms and conditions instituted by the 2016 Rio Olympic Games / Rio 2016 whether printed on the tickets or provided elsewhere, and all applicable laws in relation to the tickets. 12. If the Promoter is unable to reach any person or complete the verification process after drawing a possible winner s entry for whatsoever reason, such person will be disqualified and the draw of a replacement entry shall take place under the same terms and conditions as the first draw. 13. The Prizes are neither transferable nor redeemable for cash and the Promoter is not liable for any defect in the Prizes. The Promoter reserve the right to substitute Prizes with any other prize of comparable commercial value. All ancillary costs, including but not limited to passport, additional transport, meals, personal and incidental expenses, insurance, government taxes, management fees or other fees applicable are the responsibility of the winner and/or participants. 14. In addition to any other the verification requirements set out in these Rules, the Promoter may require the Prize winners to complete and submit an information disclosure agreement and indemnification, as well as supply a copy of their valid ID within 24 hours of being confirmed a winner, to enable the Promoter to ensure compliance with these rules and the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. Should any winner refuse or be unable to comply with this rule for any reason, such winner will be deemed to have rejected the Prizes and it shall revert back to the Promoter. 15. The Promoter may require the winners and/or their travelling partners to be identified and photographed and the photographs published in printed media, or to appear on radio and television, when accepting their Prizes and/or after having received their Prizes. The winners and/or their partners will be given the opportunity to decline to the publication of their images and to participate in the Promoters marketing material in so far as it relates to the Competition. 16. Prize images on the POS material are used to represent the prizes for promotional purposes, and might differ from the actual prizes awarded. 17. Competition entries are subject to the following conditions: All entries from Disqualified Participants cell phone numbers will be rejected; No computer based entries will be accepted; and Any cell phone number that enters an incorrect Code 5 (five) times in succession will be locked out of the competition for the entire duration of the competition ( Blocked Participants ). Blocked participants have an opportunity to call the Eurocom Call Centre on 087 231 0128 between 09h00 to 17h00 Monday to Friday should there be a valid reason, which is acceptable by 4
Promoter, for the Blocked Participants entering an incorrect Code five (5) times in succession. 18. Entries that are unclear, illegible, are submitted via an incorrect entry mechanism or contain errors or from Disqualified Persons will be declared invalid. 19. All participants and the winners, as the case may be, indemnify the Promoter, their advertising agencies, advisers, nominated agents, suppliers and Bottlers of beverages identified by the trademarks owned by or licensed to The Coca-Cola Company, its affiliates and/or associated companies against any and all claims of any nature whatsoever arising out of and/or from their participation in any way howsoever in this competition including, as a result of any act or omission, whether as a result of negligence, misrepresentation, misconduct or otherwise on the part of the Promoters and/or use of the Prizes. 20. By entering the Competition, the participant agrees that The Coca-Cola Company and its affiliates (including the Promoter, subsidiaries, bottlers, and joint ventures) may contact the participant via email and through social media platforms to deliver marketing communications regarding their products and promotional activities. The Promoter may also use the personal data collected from the participant as described in the Privacy Policy accessible at www.coca-cola.co.za and that such use may include transfers to the Promoter s affiliates and third party service providers in any country. 21. All participants shall be given an opportunity to opt-in or opt-out for future promotional material from the Promoter. Opting-in is not a requisite to participate in the Competition. 22.
