We would suggest not leaving your belongings unattended at any time. We would also suggest that you keep valuables in your hotel room safe. Local products should not be excessively expensive, make sure to ask for advice from your guide/ representative before buying. During our cooler season, make sure to bring something warm to cover up with as it can get chilly in the afternoons. When visiting places of worship or religious sites, please dress accordingly. Comfortable walking shoes are necessary for any physical activities. Beware of counterfeit articles. Renowned brands that you find on market stalls may not be authentic. Be wary of pickpockets, especially in crowded areas. Shops are open from 9.30 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Thursdays, Sundays and public holidays shops are open until midday.
