THE NETHERLANDS Strategic location in Europe The Netherlands is strategically located in Europe. It has an excellent business environment, not in the last place because of the good logistic position and technologies. Brabant is located in the south of Holland. Port and Industrial complex Moerdijk The Port and Industrial complex Moerdijk is strategically situated in the Netherlands, between the international mainports of Rotterdam and Antwerp. It is the most inland seaport in the Netherlands with five harbour bassins. This strategic location offers many business opportunities for transporting goods from the entire world to the Netherlands. The industrial estate is characterised by a diversity of industrial activities and excellent shared facilities. The total area comprises 2345 hectares. Industrial Park An area of 120 hectares in the port and industrial estate is currently available for chemical and chemical related business in the heaviest environmental category. This area is located near chemical plants of Shell, Dr. W. Kolb, LyondellBasell and Erca. This industrial area is characterised by the availability of quay facilities and lots of modalities, such as railway, motorway and pipeline network. It is possible for chemical companies and to be located on those grounds. Other companies in the heaviest environmental category are allowed on the area.
