Advantages of LED lights LED lights bring several advantages such as energy efficiency, durability, long lifespan, no UV emissions, no flicker and dramatically reduced maintenance requirements. This translates into energy savings, maintenance savings and an overall reduction in cost of ownership over the product's lifetime. The benefits of LED lighting are endless. LED lights are energy efficient, cost effective, durable and more. They are the latest technology in lighting and offer a great alternative in replacing your current standard lights. The operational life of current white LED lights is 60000 hours at constant light output. The long operational life of a LED light is a stark contrast to the average life of a fluorescent lamp, which is approximately 7000-8000 hours. If the lighting fixture needs to be embedded into a very inaccessible place, using LEDs would virtually eliminate the need for routine fluorescent lamp replacement. There is no comparison between the cost of LED lights vs. traditional fluorescent lamp options. With fluorescent lamp, the true cost of the lamp is the cost of replacement lamps and the labor expense and time needed to replace them. These are significant factors, especially where there are a large number of installed lamps. The maintenance costs to replace fluorescent lamps can be enormous. These issues can all be virtually eliminated with the LED option. The key strength of LED light is luminous efficacy >90 lm/w, reduced power consumption, single-direction illumination, uniform and soft light, high colour render, low heat dissipation. Environmentally friendly The benefit of LED lights is that they are an eco-friendly form of lighting as they do not contain mercury or other harmful gasses or emit any harmful UV rays. Fast Switching LED lights will start at full brightness, instantly, every time therefore there is no need for backup lighting. LED lights are a benefit because they switch on and off instantly compared to standard fluorescent lamps which fade in and out or flicker. Improved Durability LED's have no filaments so can withstand a greater intensity of vibration and shock than standard lights making them durable with less risk of breaking and need to replace.
