SKILEX INTERNATIONAL 36 TH INTERNATIONAL LEGAL CONGRESS ÅRE SWEDEN 1 ST 8 TH MARCH 2009 Welcome to the 36 th Skilex Congress! Once again the Skilex Congress is taking place in Sweden. The first time was 2001 in Gällivare and this time it will be in Åre. Åre is situated in the middle of Sweden between Östersund and Trondheim in Norway. Åre has hosted many big Alpine Sports Events. The latest one was FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 2007. The week after the Skilex Congress the finals in FIS Alpine World Cup for both ladies and men will take place in Åre. The area is not as well known for cross- country skiing but there are a lot of nice ski tracks for both excursions and competitions. We are quite sure that the legal program will attract all of you. Åre is a small and beautiful village with a lot of hotels, restaurants and pubs in walking distances from the hotels we have chosen. The slopes are also in walking distances and the ski tracks can be reached by local buses. All indoors activities will take place in Holiday Club, which is a new and very popular hotel.the other hotel, Hotell Åre Torg, is a combination of hotel and youth hostel and is situated in the middle of the village and five minutes walk from Holiday Club.
