Karol WIECZOREK PTNSS-2012-SS1-150 CNG in international perspective. Latest trends in CNG fuel technologies The paper presents the Organizations dealing with issues of vehicles powered by compressed natural gas. The European and global perspectives in the implementation of biogas as a transportation fuel was specified. The latest technologies in engines powered by compressed natural gas and hybrid technologies were presented. The latest target groups for biogas (bio-methane) as a transportation fuel are the passenger vehicles (use in commercial and specialized way), taxi companies, garbage trucks, and trains. The refueling station infrastructure of biogas (bio-methane) was analyzed also. The article also shows that CNG is the cheapest transportation fuel on the Polish market. COMBUSTION ENGINES, No. 1/2012 (148)
