Prepare Bluebird Motifs DO NOT Use A Hot Iron On Bluebird Motifs - They Will Smear - They Will Also Print Off On Your Ironing Board Cover Heat-N-Bond Lite 1. Use Strip Of 3 Bluebird Motifs Without Cutting Them Apart 2. With Iron At Silk Setting, Fuse Heat-N-Bond Lite, Paper Side Up, To Wrong Side Of Bluebird Motifs Following The Manufacturer s Instruction. If You Are Using Lite Steam-A-Seam 2, Follow Manufacturers Instruction 3. Allow To Cool 4. Mark Centers At Top And Bottom Of Bluebird Motifs 5. Cut Out The Bluebird Motifs, Outside The Black Circle Outline. DO NOT Cut The Black Line Off. This Will Be The Sew Line For The Trim Placement. So Cut Right Against The Line, But Not On It.!!! Skirt Tiers With Placement Of Trim Top Tier (Red) Middle Tier (White) Bottom Tier (Royal Blue) 1. Join / Sew Sections Together. Serge / Hem Top And Bottom Edges 2. Sew A Basting Stitch On Seam Line Around The Bottom Edge. This Will Be The Guide Line For The Placement Of The Royal Blue Ribbon 3. Sew 5/8 Inch Royal Blue Satin Ribbon At The Bottom Of The Tier Along The Top Edge Of The Basting Stitches 1. Join / Sew Sections Together. Serge / Hem The Top And Bottom Edges 2. Sew A Basting Stitch On The Seam Line Around The Bottom Edge. This Will Be The Guide Line For The Placement Of The Gold Ribbon 3. Sew A Second Basting Stitch 5/8 Inch Above The First Basting Stitch. This Will Be The Guide Line For Sewing On The Red Braid 4. Sew A ¼ Inch Gold Ribbon At The Bottom Of The Tier Along The Top Edge Of The First Basting Stitches (Seam Line) 5. Bluebird Motif Placement A. One Motif Goes On Each Seam Line And Another Goes Halfway Between The Seam Lines (The Middle Of Each Section). The Center Of The Motifs Will Be 20 ½ Inches Apart B. The Motifs Should Be Placed ½ Inch ABOVE The Top Of ¼ Inch Gold Ribbon C. Use The Center Marks On The Motifs To Keep The Bluebirds Straight. Iron / Attach As Per Bonding Material Instructions 6. Placement of Red Braid A. Two Rows Of Red Braid Are Used To Encircle The Bluebird Motifs B. Start The Red Braid At The Bottom Center Of One Motif. Sew The First Row Of Braid OVER The Black Circle Line. Encircle The Motif And CROSS At The Center Bottom Of The Motif (Where It Started), Which Will Be 3/8 Above The Gold Ribbon C. Continue Sewing The Red Braid 3/8 Inch Above The ¼ Inch Gold Ribbon (On The Second Basting Line Stitched Earlier) To The Center Of The Next Bluebird Motif. Repeat This Process Around The Entire Middle Tier D. When You Are Back At The First Bluebird Motif, Center Bottom. Cross The Braid OVER To INSIDE Of The First Row Of Braid. Sew It Snug Against The First Row Of The Braid Thus Starting The Second Row Of Braid E. Encircle Inside The Motif And Cross At The Bottom, Keeping The Braid ABOVE The First Row, On The Straight Section F. Continue The Process Around The Entire Middle Tier. Remember, Sew The Second Row Inside Of The First Row On The INSIDE Of The Bluebird Motifs, And ABOVE The First Row On The Straight Sections.!!! l. Join / Sew The Sections Together. Serge / Hem The Top And Bottom Edges 2. Sew The 5/8 Inch Red Satin Ribbon At The Bottom Edge Against The Serge Edge 3. Sew The ¼ Inch Gold Ribbon 3/8 Inch Above The Top Edge Of The Red Satin Ribbon. The PICTURE DOES NOT SHOW THIS.!!! Now Waistband 1. Run Gathering Threads On Each Tier 2. Join The Tiers 2. Add The Waistband 3. Add The Elastic 1. For a waistband, 1 ¼ inch width finished, cut A Strip Of red fabric, 3 5/8 inches wide x 47 inches long 2. When sewing tiers together, Sew With The Flat Tier (Ungathered) On The Top, So You Can Sew ON The Basting Stitched Seam Line. (ThIs Keeps The Ribbon From Being Caught In The Seam)

Pin The Under Ruffle RIGHT Side To WRONG Side Of The Sleeve Unit, With 1 ¾ Inches Of The Under Ruffle Showing Below The Sleeve Unit 2. Sew Together 1 Inch Below The Top Of The Under Ruffle 3. Turn ½ Inch Of The 1 Inch In To Form The Elastic Casing And Sew It To The Sleeve Unit. (Leave The Opening To Insert Elastic) Now 1. Sew The Blouse Together 2. Run The Elastic Shirt.... Royal Blue Western.. Bluebird Motif / White Piping / Red Braid On Back Back Of Shirt - Ready-made 1. On The Back Sleeve Seam, Where The Bottom Of The Yoke Ends, Rip Out Approximately 1 Inch Of Stitching Of The Seam, Both Sleeves 2. Slip The End Of The White Piping Into This Open Seam With The Piping Against The Bottom Of The Yoke And The Seam (Bottom) Section Of The Piping Toward The Bottom Of The Shirt 3. Cut Off The Bottom Of The Piping Close To The Stitching 4. Center A Cut-Out Bluebird Motif 1/8 Inch Below The White Piping On The Center Of The Back Of The Shirt.
