M.Ed. in Educational Administration Teachers holding either elementary or secondary teaching certification who intend to serve and become certified as school principals in the state of Nebraska. Note: Nebraska Certification requires two years of successful teaching experience. As you complete the Master of Education in Educational Administration, you will develop an understanding of effective school organization, management, and leadership; learn about various processes of educational administration, including political and fiscal management; understand the ethics of administering educational systems; and gain new communication skills including group process, evaluation, and staff development. A Curriculum Specialist Endorsement is also available. The Curriculum and Instruction Master's program is an innovative, inquiry-based program with a focus on professional development. M.Ed. - Special Education Curriculum & Instruction with Mild/Moderate Special Education Endorsement Certified teachers who wish to earn a Master of Education degree with an emphasis in Special Education Curriculum and Instruction. An initial endorsement in mild/moderate special education is also available. As you complete the M.Ed. in Special Education Curriculum & Instruction and/or Mild/Moderate Special Education Endorsement, you will be equipped to teach and assess diverse learners. The program is designed for current teachers and access to a classroom with special needs students is required. Prerequisite: In addition to the courses listed below, students are required to have completed a credit course in the psychology of exceptionality and multiculturalism. Most currently certified teachers will have met this requirement as a part of their undergraduate preparation. If you have not taken this course, you will be required to complete this credit hour course before you can receive an endorsement in special education. Graduate Teacher Certification Individuals with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a content area offered by Concordia and certifiable by the Nebraska Department of Education who would like to become a secondary education teacher.
