Logging into the Enrolment Variation Application 1. Open a web browser and navigate to the Enrolment Variation website: https://enrolmentvariations.app.unimelb.edu.au/apex/f?p=ev 2. Enter your login credentials, click Login 3. You will be presented with the eligibility assessment page. 4. When you login your course enrolment details and eligibility assessment information will display. Note: The system will automatically assess your eligibility to request an enrolment variation. Where you are considered ineligible for an enrolment variation, a message and sanction details will display. EV_Student_SupportGuide_v1.1.docx (11-Mar-15) Page 4
Create an Enrolment Variation request Select the course and the type of variation for your application and click Next. There are two types of variation: Course Variation and Add Subject/Requisite Waiver or Request Overload. You may select a single option or both if appropriate. Refer to the sections below for instructions on each variation type. Note: If you want to apply for either Course Variation and Add Subject/Requisite waiver or Request Overload, create both requests at same time. Create Course Variation Request 1. Select the Course Variation 2. Select Varition type as Course Variation (Major, Minoe, Stream or Specialisation) 3. Click Next EV_Student_SupportGuide_v1.1.docx (11-Mar-15) Page 5
4. You will be taken to the Enrolment Variation Details screen Note: You will need to enter information in the Enrolment Variation Detail section 5. Click Add Course Variation button 6. Enter the course variation information in the new window, where course details will be auto populated from the eligibility assessment page EV_Student_SupportGuide_v1.1.docx (11-Mar-15) Page 6
7. If needed click Browse button to add supporting documentation to the application and click Save 8. The window will close and the course information will display in the Course Variation Details section 9. Click Add Course Variation to add further course variation records to the application 10. Click Delete icon to remove a course variation record 11. Click Edit icon to modify the course variation details 12. 13. Once all course variation information and supporting documents have been provided, tick the declaration boxes on same page and click Next proceed to Declaration page Create Add Subject/ Requisite Waiver Request 14. Select the Course Variation 15. Select Add subject/requisite Waiver or Request Overload Variation 16. If you wish to add subject/requisite waiver you must amend your Study Plan online prior to applying. Confirm you have amended your Study Plan online Note: If you select No, the following message will be presented and you will not be able to proceed. 20. Enter the subject variation information in the new window, where the subject details will be auto populated from the eligibility assessment page 21. Click Browse to add supporting documentation to the application and click Save Note: For Requisite Waiver and Subject Coordinator Approval Required student has to add supporting document and Students requesting an overload need to meet the eligibility criteria as per the Student Workload (Study Load) Procedure,. 22. The course information will display in the Course Variation Details section 23. Click Add Subject /Requisite waiver or Request Overload to add further variation records to the application 24. Click Delete icon to remove a subject variation record 25. Click Edit icon to update the information in the subject variation details 26. Documents can also be uploaded from the application form itself 27. View previously submitted applications The View Submitted Applications screen allows you to view the progress of variation applications previously submitted. 1. Click View Submitted Applications located on the top right of the screen. A list of applications you have submitted will display. 2. Once you have located the application you wish to view, click the Review icon to display the details screen. Need further Assistance?
