Current Demographics / Command Sponsorship Program

Command Sponsorship Program Mission: 2ID executes a deliberate, leader engaged process to educate Soldiers/Families on Command Sponsorship to enable informed decisions to improve Readiness. Commander s Intent: Maximize utilization of Command Sponsorship Program to enhance operational readiness and promote a Caring Command Climate Endstate: 2ID enhances Warfighting readiness by taking care of Soldiers and their Families Program Objectives 1) Facilitate well informed decisions by Commanders and Soldiers. 2) Streamline processes and reduce stress on Soldier and Family during move, improves integration 3) Establish Caring Command Climate prior to arrival 4) Mutually supportive of Sponsorship programs and improves Family and Unit Readiness

New Command Sponsorship Program Policy 2ID has published Policy Letter #01-6, Restricted Command Sponsorship Program for Units in Area I Exception of Policy for Service Members with no school age child and no dependent enrolled to EFMP 3 Prioritized Categories: Priority 1: Includes key billets which are so vital to the mission that Service Members are mandated to serve 24-months. Priority 2: Includes those military jobs from which commanders benefit the most by having personnel stay for 24-36 month tours. The Division has a list of shortage MOSs. Also personnel in Key Developmental positions and those who recently completed training or certification, such as company commanders, first sergeants and pilots. Priority 3: Positions at the Brigade Commanders discretion, with dual or single military families, consecutive overseas tours etc.

CSP Centrally Managed 8A G-1 approve Command Sponsorship by Area 8A G-1 will approve all requests up to 97% of an Area s allocation. When an CSP in a given area reaches the established cap, only positions designated by MSC Commanders in PIMS-K (Priority 1 and 2) will be approved 8A G-1 will maintain a 10% buffer for MSC Commanders discretion Commanders will annually update/validate MTOE/TDA information in PIMS-K database to ensure accurate accountability of their CSP positions

Once you are logged on to the website you will find your request under control number 0000.

Winter Weather

Winter Weather SNOWCON I (Pre-Season Planning) An initial readiness condition declared at the beginning of the winter season. SNOWCON II (Winter Warning) A warning and alert condition declared by a mutual decision between the SRO and USAG Red Cloud Commander when heavy snow is probable. It will be declared when one or more of the following conditions are met. a) Weather forecasts indicate the potential for intense and/or prolonged snowfall of 50mm (2 inches) within a 12-hour period. The snowfall is expected to begin within 24 hours. b) Weather temperature drops to or below -20 F with wind chill. SNOWCON III (Winter Storm) An alert condition declared by a mutual decision between the SRO and USAG Red Cloud Commander when a winter storm is imminent. It will be declared when heavy snowfall is expected to exceed 100mm (4 inches) in a 12-hour period.

Winter Weather Snow Clearing Requirements 1) USAG-RC and Area I DPW is responsible for clearing all primary and secondary roads, and all community/garrison activities. 2) All garrison activities are responsible for clearing all sidewalks around their immediate areas/buildings. 3) All units are responsible for clearing all common areas, sidewalks around their immediate areas/buildings, motor pools and AHAs. (Units must pick-up their own ICE MELT) 4) Units are required to send their Severe Weather Representative to the Severe Weather IPRs.
