1 HIMatrix Z 7303 If connecting electro-sensitive protective equipment (ESPE) the digital inputs of the HIMatrix controllers must be provided in certain cases with a filter (see chapter 1.2), the Z 7303, to eliminate disturbing blanking impulses of the ESPE. The filter is integrated in a 6-pole plug (Z 7303), which can be ordered with the HIMA part no.: 98 222 0077. Digital inputs must not be configured for Line Control if the inputs are used for ESPE systems! At digital inputs with Line Control without connected ESPE systems (e.g. for EMERGENCY STOP) the pulse delay must be set to the maximum value of 2 ms. 1.2 Using of Filter Z 7303 with ESPE Note Note Note If the outputs of an ESPE are connected to the digital inputs of the remote I/Os Z 7303 filters must then always be used. The filter Z 7303 must be used with the digital inputs of HIMatrix controllers F20, F30 and F31 if the cycle time is greater than 50 ms. For monitoring electro-sensitive protective equipment in accordance with IEC 61508 and EN 954-1 to category 4 it is strongly recommended to use the TÜV certified function block CFB 60 of HIMA optimized for this case. If only using the CFB 60 the shutdown is delayed by maximum three PES cycles when using C4000 and S3000 (see impulse diagram). This time must be taken into account when planning the safe distance! In combination with the Z 7303 the CFB 60 allows a shutdown independent of the device after maximum two PES cycles. Figure 4: Function block layout CFB 60 The ESPE generates blanking signals for Line Control, depending on the model, with different period durations (see Figure 3). If the cycle time of the controller is close to the period duration or an integer multiple of this, there is the possibility that the blanking signal is detected as 0-signal at the inputs. The interpreting logic (function block CFB 60) would react according to the signal level (Enable output at CFB 60 to FALSE, see Figure 4). If the cycle time of the controller is about the half of the period durations of the ESPE the blanking signal is not detected as a fault signal by the controller. In all other cases the Z 7303 filters the blanking signal from the signal. If ESPE systems are used with the Z 7303 the CFB 60 parameter LCA = 0 has to be set! A FALSE signal at the digital inputs of the HIMatrix controller (S1-NO or S2-NO in CFB 60) results in an immediate shutdown of the enable output (state FALSE) of the TÜV certified CFB 60. 4 of 5
In the following table the descriptions of the input signals and the LCA parameters are listed: Input Type Default Range of Values S1-NO, BOOL FALSE FALSE/ S2-NO TRUE Description "S1-NO" and "S2-NO" are the inputs of the safety-related controller at which the statuses for the contacts of the ESPE/PLS are read. If the protection area to be monitored by the ESPE/PLS is vacant, the ESPE/PLS has not tripped and the inputs S1-NO and S2-NO are TRUE. LCA UINT 0 0, 1, 2 0 FALSE at S1-NO or S2-NO results in an immediate shutdown (Enable = FALSE) 1 Bridging of the line control blanking (LCA) of the sensor is taken into account. Blanking the line control signal for either "S1-NO" or "S2-NO" for only one PES cycle does not lead to switching off the Enable output. 2 Bridging of the line control blanking (LCA) of the sensor is taken into account. Both a simultaneous blanking of both inputs and the blanking of only one input for max. one PES cycle do not lead to switching off. The output Enable is immediately switched off if the PES detects a FALSE signal at one of the two inputs for two consecutive PES cycles. Note: Table 1: Input signal and LCA parameters of the CFB 60 For LCA = 1 and LCA = 2 the shutdown is delayed by one PES cycle. This time must be taken into account when planning the safe distance! The complete description of the inputs and outputs of the CFB 60 you will find in the online help of the function block. 5 of 5
