User Instructions We are pleased to announce our recent implementation of WebResultView, a robust web-based tool to search, retreive, and download patient results from the web. WebResultView is HIPAA compliant and completely safe and secure. It uses a simple interface to retrieve results quickly and easily. Please review the following documentation for operatiing instructions and system requirements. System Requirements: To use WebResultView, you will need the following: 1) A High Speed Internet connection (DSL, Cable, T1) 2) Microsoft Internet Explorer version 7 or later (The system also works on other browsers but Microsoft Internet Explorer is fully supported.) 3) Adobe Reader - required if you wish to print and/or export results. I. Logging in Go to the RDL website. Logging into the WebResultView system is easy and secure. From www.rdlinc.com, simply click on the Client Login button on the top right hand side of the screen. 1 Enter your email address here. (name@domain.com) 3 Click the Login button. 2 Enter your password exactly as it was provided by RDL, Inc. This includes using upper and lowercase letters and special characters. Page 1
II. Searching for Results (New Results Program Search) Refine your search by selecting one or more of these filters. Enter any combination of search terms into the search fields. Manually type in date ranges or click the calendar buttons to select a date. Main Result Search Screen Enter the parameters (names, ID and dates) you would like to search by, and click the search button to display the results. The broader the search parameters, the longer the search will take to display the search results. Checkbox Filter Definitions: Abnormals Only - Search results will only display reports that have at least one abnormal result in them. Unprinted Reports - Display reports that you have previously not printed. Reported Since Last Login - Display all reports that have been completed since the last time you logged in. Page 2
III. Selecting and Viewing Results Results Found Screen All of the result reports that have met your search criteria will be displayed in a table. A checked box in the Printed column denotes that the report has been previously viewed or printed. You can toggle this on or off if you want to keep it as not printed. Report has been viewed or printed Normal Reports in light grey Abnormal Reports in pink Viewing Reports Click an Accession number to view an individual report. To view more than one report at once, select several checkboxes to the left of the desired Accession numbers and click on View Selected. This is convenient when printing reports. For further information on printing, refer to section IV. Printing Results. Downloading Reports To download reports in HL7 data format for use with an EMR (Electronical Medial Records) System, use the checkboxes to the left of the desired Accession numbers and click on View selected EMR. IV. Printing Results While viewing reports, a new browser window will open that will display the report(s) in PDF format for easy printing and saving. If you have trouble viewing or printing the result reports, make sure you have an up-to-date version of Adobe Reader installed*. You can save reports for permanent and paperless storage on your PC or server. Just click on the disk icon to bring up the save options dialog. *Adobe Reader is available for free at http://www.adobe.com Click the disk icon to save the report Adobe Acrobat menu bar (on top) Click the printer icon to print the report Compact Adobe Acrobat interface (on the bottom of the document) V. Viewing and Exporting to HL7 Format The Results Found Page allows you to retreive data for Electronic Medical Records, EMR. Select the desired reports with the left-hand checkbox, then click the View selected EMR button. Clicking one of the EMR buttons will open another view, showing the HL7 data in a text format that can be saved and then loaded into an EMR system, if you have one. Click the View selected EMR to view the text file. In order for this particular feature to be of use, your Electronic Medical Record/Practice Management (EMR) software vendor should be contacted to ensure that they can program or enable a feature on their software that allows the uploading of RDL s HL7 files into the patient s charts. VI. V. Saving Viewing Hl7 Data and to Your Exporting Desktop to HL7 Format - cont d Once you click the View selected EMR button, the next screen will look similar to the example shown below. To save the current EMR data to your computer, click the Save button at the bottom-right of the screen. This will immediately start downloading the HL7 text file to your computer. Save the file by selecting a location on your computer and the name of the file. Back to Search Resul;ts Search Again Logout (If download does not start immediately, please click again) Your vendor should explain exactly how to use the file with your EMR system. Thank you...
