Can PRINCE2 Help Me Find Work? WHAT IS PRINCE2? PRINCE2 stands for Projects IN Controlled Environments, and is a process based method for effective project management. PRINCE2 is used extensively by the UK Government and widely recognised and used in the private sector across many industries including Construction, Banking & Insurance. It is important to note that PRINCE2 is the defacto project management qualification / standard with (1 million +) Qualified Practitioners World Wide. WHO WILL BENEFIT MOST FROM BEING PRINCE2 QUALIFIED? From our extensive work in helping the redundant return to work through PRINCE2, we would recommend this qualification to anyone who has previous experience as a Team Leader / Project Manager or who has been involved in Project delivery. It is not essential that you have a degree or previous qualifications in order to sit the course and attain the qualification. As long as you have a good understanding of the English language and are motivated, you run a 99% chance of passing to Foundation and a 89% chance of passing at Practitioner. We have attained these pass rates over the past year with learners who have not sat any other formal qualification for some 20 years, so don t worry if you have exam nerves, we are used to getting people like you through the course and feeling confident to use PRINCE2 to find work. One Persons Story How I found Employment with PRINCE2 I am 42 and previously worked for the Department of Culture Media and Sport for 24 years as a Senior Policy Adviser. However, during 2011 I was made redundant as part of the Government s Austerity Programme. I was instructed by my Job Centre to undertake re-training. I selected PRINCE2 Accredited Training through Croydon Voluntary Action (CVA) an Adult Learning Provider under the European Social Fund. Lisa I knew little about PRINCE2 other than it could open doors if I wanted to change career and become a Project Manager.
