Uintah School District Mission Statement: Uintah School District students will acquire the critical skills and attributes of a productive citizen. Registration Dates and Times Generally, registration for school in Uintah School District will take place August 6 th & 7 th. If new patrons to the area have questions about where to register their children, please call the district office at 781-3100. Parents of students new to the district must supply the student s birth certificate, immunization records, name and address of previous school, and proof of residency (e.g., current utility bill) at registration. Students will not be allowed to start school without current immunizations. Most schools in Uintah School District will register on August 6 th and 7 th (Thursday and Friday). Schools will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on either of these two days. Exceptions to these registration dates and times are: Lapoint Elementary will register August 6 th from 9:00 a.m. 3:00 p.m. Maeser Elementary will register August 6 th & 7 th from 8:00 a.m. 3:00 p.m. Uintah Middle School new students to the district may register August 6 th and 7 th between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. All other students of the district are already registered. 6 th grade orientation will be on Wednesday, August 12 th from 6:00 6:30 p.m. 7 th & 8 th grade orientation will be on Thursday, August 13 th from 6:00 6:30 p.m. Vernal Middle School new students to the district may register August 6 th and 7 th between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. All other students of the district are already registered. 6 th grade and new student orientation will be on Monday, August 17 th at 6:00 p.m. Students will receive their schedules and lockers at that time. 7 th and 8 th grade schedules and locker information will be mailed the week of August 10 th. Uintah High School new students to the district may register August 6 th and 7 th between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Registration for returning students will be online beginning August 6 th at www.uintahhigh.net. Unless information has changed there is NO need for returning students to register. Fees may be paid at www.uintahhigh.net. Materials will not be sent by mail. Freshman orientation will be on Tuesday, August 18 th from 6:00 7:00 p.m. Sophomore orientation will be on Wednesday, August 19 th from 6:00 7:00 p.m. K12 Uintah Online is accepting registration between now and October 1 st. Free and Reduced Price Meal Applications All families who believe they qualify for free or reduced price lunch must apply annually. Free and reduced applications must be completed and submitted to the district food service program or your child s school as soon as possible. Parents/Guardians are encouraged to fill out the Free and Reduced Meal Application online at www.uintah.net. Fees are due as stated in the above Code for Fee Payment Basis. If the fees are not paid within 10 school days from the time they are due, they become delinquent. A 10% penalty will be assessed on any delinquent fees. This penalty will be no less than $5.00 and no more than $25.00. An installment payment plan for fees, agreed to in advance by UHS administration, will not have a penalty assessed if payments are made as agreed. Note: Exceptions for UHS Schedule Changes (after school starts) Schedule changes at UHS at no cost to the student: 1. Student fails course and/or is not recommended to continue; 2. Illness or injury prevents participation; 3. Student is placed inappropriately; 4. Course is overcrowded or cancelled; 5. Student needs to add to an incomplete schedule.
Admission to Utah High School Athletic Association sponsored activities may not exceed limits established by UHSAA. *Optional Charge not needed to participate in required school program. *Depending on the number of competitions/activities a student participated in (i.e. region, state, nationals, etc.) the cost for being in the above clubs could be up to $1,500.00. School Fee Waivers School fees are not permitted during the regular school day in grades K-6 in Utah. However, fees may be charged for activities which take place before or after school or during school vacations for these grades. At the secondary level, help is available if grades 7-12 students cannot afford to pay school fees. If your family assets do not exceed the Statewide Fee Waiver Assets Limit for School Fee Waivers and you are eligible for free school lunch, if you receive AFDC (Aid to Families with Dependent Children) or SSI (Supplemental Security Income), or if you are in the custody of a Utah State or local governmental agency or foster care, students probably qualify for fee waivers (meaning that you will not be required to pay the fees).
