Page 2 of 5 ASHRAE Windsor Chapter November 2015 Meeting TECHNICAL TOUR - HIRAM WALKER POWERHOUSE The Windsor Chapter of ASHRAE is pleased to invite you to our November meeting, which features a technical tour of the Powerhouse serving Hiram Walker & Sons Limited. The tour will be conducted by Mario Desjardins, the Power Plant Manager at Hiram Walker. The tour will focus on five (5) of the top conversation projects completed in recent years as selected by Mr. Desjardins. Also included in the tour will be an introduction to the Energy Matrix Platform currently used at the Powerhouse. Come participate in the tour to see the modern technologies that drive the many processes implemented at Hiram Walker! Date: Tuesday, November 17, 2015 5:00 PM - Eastern Time Anticipated Tour Duration - One (1) hour Location: Hiram Walker Powerhouse 2072 Riverside Drive East Windsor, Ontario Equipment: Steel Toed Safety Shoes Safety Glasses Parking is available just east of the security check in point. DINNER - VITO S PIZZERIA (OLDE WALKERVILLE) At the conclusion of the technical tour, attendees will have the opportunity to meet for dinner at Vito s Pizzeria in Olde Walkerville. Chapter meetings provide a captive audience and exposure to a group actively involved in our industry. The November 2015 Table Top Display presentation is being provided by Mr. Dave Faris of Smith Energy Inc. Education and Training Opportunities Page 4 of 5 ASHRAE LEADRS PROGRAM 2016 ASHRAE WINTER CONFERENCE IN ORLANDO, FLORIDA JANUARY 23-27 Being a member of ASHRAE allows for many opportunities to develop technical knowledge as well as leadership skills through many educational programs. One such program is the LeaDRS program, which allows for the successful applicant to shadow a Regional ASHRAE Leader. See the details below to learn more about this unique opportunity! The LeaDRS shadowing program is providing access to a deeper understanding of, the senior level leadership roles and responsibilities of ASHRAE Regional leaders. The DRC will be charged with allowing the participant to shadow him or her and introducing the participant to the Society Conferences, their inner workings including: Society/ Committee structure, Board Meetings, ExComm, TCs/TGs, and social functions.
