24 5.5 Partially Filled Block Trades When a block order is only partially filled (either because it expired at market close with partial fills or was canceled after partial fills occurred), you will receive an e-mail notification. The partially filled block order will be allocated in one of two ways: E*TRADE will automatically reallocate partial fills in proportion to the original quantity designated by you. For example, if only half of the original order was filled, then each account in the block order will get half of the allocation amount specified in the original allocation trade. This will be the default allocation if you do not provide alternative allocation instructions by 6:30 p.m. ET. Alternatively, you can manually override the proportional allocation with new allocation instructions, provided the new amounts allocated to each account do not exceed the initial allocation amounts. This reallocation must be completed by 6:30 p.m. ET. If you need assistance, contact the Platinum Advisor team. Note: To determine if an account has partial fills at the end of a trading day, just go to the Order History page. Partially filled orders will show with a Reallocate link in the Actions column.
