The educational program of our School is not restricted to medical knowledge and skills. The third main component of our program is composed of instructional activities aiming at providing professional attitudes and values. Our School provides a high quality medical education of international level, which is accredited by the National Accreditation Council for Undergraduate Medical Education.

In addition, our students may as well carry out their elective clerkships at selected Medical Schools all around the world that are member of Global Health Learning Opportunities network (GHLO). OUR SCHOOL IS RECONSTRUCTING ITS CLINICAL EDUCATION PROGRAM In parallel with the understanding of continuing evaluation and development in education, the clinical education program is being re-constructed in our School. The new curriculum with the addition of innovative clerkship program, which is not present in other Medical Schools, was implemented in the 2012 2013 academic year, starting from the 4 th year students. EDUCATION ON PROFESSIONALISM With its basic medical clinical practices, student research activities and social and humanitarian aspects The Introduction to Clinical Practice is designed to prepare the students to the clinical education phase and to provide social and humanitarian perspectives to education. It is the first implemented and the most enriched program, as compared to other medical schools in Turkey. Also with The Individual and Professional Development and Counseling Program, which is a component of the new clinical program that was implemented in the 2012 2013 academic year, education related with professionalism as well as educational and career counseling for our students was strengthened. Some of these studies have also been presented in national and international congresses and published as articles in national and international journals. In our School, panel discussions, conferences and film sessions with scientific, social and artistic content are organized throughout the academic year. Under the themes of Social Responsibility and Society and Health, research projects help the students to become aware of and sensitive to the community health. A few examples from these themed research projects are: o o o Martı (the Seagull ) project for the visually impaired KanCo project for the children in the Hematology-Oncology Unit Umut Çocukları Projesi (the Children of Hope Project ) for homeless teenagers.
