Below are the instructions for downloading the Dartfish Software Files from the website: 1. TO ACCESS THE FILES TO DOWNLOAD - Using the computer that you wish to install the Dartfish software on, connect to the internet and click the following link: http://support.dartfish.com/home.aspx 2. TO LOG INTO YOUR ACCOUNT - On the HOME page, enter your email and password in the upper RIGHT corner. Do NOT click the REGISTER PRODUCT button I have already registered your new license for you. Your email and password are below: Username: Password: 3. TO REVIEW REGISTERED PRODUCTS - click on the MY REGISTERED PRODUCTS button. You can access the license code for each and also download the software from here as well.
4. TO DOWNLOAD THE SOFTWARE LICENSE - click on the DOWNLOAD SECTION button. To download the Dartfish software, click on the DOWNLOAD PRODUCT ARROW and follow the instructions for installation and activation. You will need the username, organization and product key for EACH license. I have attached this information to this email for your convenience. 5. TO DOWNLOAD ASSOCIATED FILES click on the BLUE ARROWS beside each file. My recommendation is to download all the listed files and save to the hard drive on your computer. 6. There are also sections to access TECHNICAL SUPPORT AND TRAINING INFORMATION. DRIVER INSTALLATION To be able to use your StreamZap remote control or to burn CD/DVD s with Dartfish you need to install the corresponding driver. Gear CD/DVD driver Select Driver -> Install CD/DVD Burner Driver in the CD menu or download and run the file (CDDVDBurner.exe) from the Customer Care portal. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation. StreamZap remote control This driver is required if you want to use the StreamZap remote control. Follow the instructions below to install the driver: Windows 7 / Vista (32-bit) 1. Please do not plug in your USB infrared receiver yet. 2. Select Driver -> Install Remote Control Driver for Windows 32-Bits in the CD menu or download and execute the files (RemoteControl_32bit.exe) from the Customer Care portal. 3. Follow the on-screen instructions and connect your receiver only when asked Please plug-in your USB infrared receiver. 4. The driver installation will be executed and terminated automatically. Windows 7 / Vista (64-bit) 1. Please do not plug in your USB infrared receiver yet. 2. Download the StreamZap installation file (RemoteControl_32bit.exe) as well as the 64-bit driver package (RemoteControl_64bit.zip) from the Customer Care portal (http://support.dartfish.com) download section and unzip the content (x64) to a folder of your choice. IMPORTANT: Product registration is required. 3. Select Driver -> Install Remote Control Driver for Windows 32-Bits in the welcome wizard if you use the installation CD or launch the installation file (RemoteControl_32bit.exe) which you previously downloaded. 4. Follow the on-screen instruction until you are asked to connect your StreamZap receiver ( Please plug in your USB infrared receiver ). Select Cancel and confirm your choice by clicking Yes. 5. Connect your StreamZap receiver now. 6. Go to Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Devices and Printers, and under Unspecified, you will find StreamZap Remote Control. 7. Right click Properties then select the Hardware tab. Click Properties again and click Change Settings. 8. Select Update Driver, select Browse my computer for driver software. Browse to the desktop folder x64 and click Next. 9. Click Install to complete the installation.
ACTIVATION Activation is a mandatory process that associates the products you buy from Dartfish with the computers on which you use those products. Activation helps protect Dartfish against unauthorized use and copying of its software and you against the risk of using counterfeit software. Activate Online Now: Is your computer connected to the internet? Then choose this method to activate your Software automatically. Activate Manually: Your computer isn t connected to internet or the automatic activation method has failed. Choose this method and follow the instructions below: 1. Select Request an activation code manually. 2. Save your Locking Code to a USB stick or an external hard disc by clicking the Save button. 3. Go to a computer with Internet access, open a web browser and enter the address: http://support.dartfish.com/activation 4. Register your product or use your login credentials to access the activation page. 5. Enter your Locking Code in the Manual Activation section on the right and hit Submit. 6. You will now receive an email with your activation code. Copy the code to a USB stick or an external hard disc and go back to the computer without internet access. 7. Enter your activation code and confirm your choice by selecting Activate. TROUBLESHOOTING Where can I find my Product Key? You can find your Product Key on the back of your CD case or in our Customer Care portal (http://support.dartfish.com). To view your license information select My products -> View in the column License. IMPORTANT: Product registration is required. How can I change the language in Dartfish? Dartfish will be installed in the language defined by your operating system. You can change the language after installation by selecting Tools -> Options -> General.
How can I find out whether I have a Windows 32- or 64-bit version? Go back to Windows and select Start. Now right click Computer and choose Properties. Your Windows version will be displayed under System -> System Type I installed my StreamZap remote control according to the instructions. Nevertheless it is not working properly. What can I do? Check the Dartfish Remote icon in the system tray area of the Windows taskbar: The remote control is installed and functional. Ensure that the receiver is pointed towards the remote control, batteries are fresh, the receiver is within range and there aren't other sources of infrared interference. The remote control software is installed but the IR receiver is not connected. If it is connected to a USB port the likelihood is that drivers are not installed for that USB port correctly. Try removing the receiver and connecting it to a different USB port. If this method fails as well please unplug the receiver and reinstall the driver according to the instructions described in the chapter Driver Installation. Icon is not present. On a limited number of computers the StreamZap driver does not automatically run after installation. Restart your computer to complete installation.
