To create a Career Central Employer account, complete the registration questions which include your personal information and the profile of your institution. This information CAN be edited later through your Employer account. After clicking Save & Continue you will be taken to the Contact Information page. Input the billing contact for your institution and click Save & Continue again. Your Employer Registration is complete! You will receive a welcome email that highlights many of the great features that come with your Career Central registration and some important tips for Posting Jobs, Managing Jobs, and Managing Job Seeker Applications. 2
My Account Overview Overview is where everything can be found in your Career Central Employer account. From here, you can edit your Employer information/profile, post and update jobs, view applications, search resumes, and much more! Overview is accessible anytime by clicking on the Your Account drop-down menu. All Employer account navigation should be done through Overview. The link for Home is not the same as Overview. Create New User This feature will allow you add a user profile to your Career Central Employer account. This user can login and view information for your Employer account (jobs, applications, contact information), but cannot edit any of the content. This is perfect for colleagues who need to review applications or for anyone from your institution assisting with interviews at Career Central! 3
Registering for 2015 Career Central at Convention After signing in or creating your Career Central Employer account, register to attend Career Central at Convention by clicking Register now from Overview. ** Please register for Career Central at Convention BEFORE posting any jobs ** Every 2015 ACPA Convention registration comes with a free job posting. The Free option is found after clicking Register now. This is for Employers who are NOT interviewing on-site at Career Central in Tampa. After clicking Free, you will be taken to a processing page for your order. After completing your order, the Overview screen of your Employer account reflects the free job posting by showing the interview location as name your own location. Many of the features of this system are geared towards Employers who are interviewing on-site, so please ignore items like messages and calendar. 4
Posting Jobs Use the Post a Job link from the Overview of your Employer account. The system will ask if you would like for this job to be associated with 2015 Career Central at Convention. This means your job will be available to job seekers participating in the 2015 Career Central. ** Since you are not interviewing on-site for your job posting, it is very important that you note this in your job posting or in message to job seekers after they apply for your job. ** Input information about your job posting. When everything is entered, click Save and Preview Job. 5
After clicking Save and Preview Job, you will see the Job Preview page. If the previewed job is satisfactory, click the "Proceed to Checkout" button when your job posting is ready. You will then be asked to purchase a job package OR use a previously purchased package to post your job. After reviewing additional add-ons and confirming the job posting, you will be shown a confirmation with links to your job on the Career Central system. NOTE: Jobs you have not posted will be stored as a "pending" job. To finish posting a pending job, go to the Overview portion of your Employer account and click on the "Pending Jobs" link. From here you can make any changes to the job, preview it, and post immediately. 6
Managing Applications Once a job seeker submits an application, you will be able to view it on the Overview page of your Employer account. You will also be notified by e-mail as each job seeker submits an application. The e-mail will include contact information, resume, cover letter, and any other documents you requested be submitted with the application. Through the application, you will be able to message the job seeker with more information about your posting or information about your specific institutions interview process. 7
