Executive Summary The firm was established in June 1994, and incorporated in October 1994 to provide professional engineering services to Architectural Organizations, Facilities Owners, Developers, Institutional and Governmental Agencies. Floresca Associates is certified as a D/M/WBE Firm by the North Central Texas Regional Certification Agency (NCTRCA), and as a HUB Firm by the Historically Underutilized Business Agency of the State of Texas. In August 2000, Floresca Associates Inc. introduced its Department of Information Technology to provide professional technological services to Business Owners, Institutional and Governmental Agencies. In September 2003, Floresca Associates Inc. expanded its service offerings by opening a Creative Studios Department. This division of the company leverages its expertise in the commercial graphics industry by utilizing the latest digital technologies in print, traditional photography, commercial graphics, analog and digital photography, and in video editing and processing. Consulting Engineers Design is a creative process. Our knowledge and understanding of practical applications of leading-edge technology, in conjunction with our sensitivity to economics, risk, and construction limitations, enable us to provide our clients value-based solutions. HVAC Design FAI is staffed with dedicated registered professional engineers, registered engineers-in-training, mechanical designers and CADD operators. Mechanical HVAC documents are developed under the direct supervision of registered professional engineers who are qualified to stamp the required drawings and assume full responsibility for their design services. Our services include feasibility studies, existing conditions evaluations, peer review, value engineering, life cycle cost analysis, and construction administration. Plumbing Design Traditionally, basic plumbing design has been a code driven discipline. As such, a thorough working knowledge of the various plumbing codes and standards is vital to proper systems design. FAI's engineers include individuals certified in plumbing engineering, medical gas piping systems design and inspection, code administration, and construction administration. Our registered professional engineers and support staff provides expert solutions and applications throughout the electrical engineering spectrum. We are known for our ability to establish professional working relations and work as a team with our clients to deliver projects that meet and exceed expectations within budget and schedule. Fire Protection Systems Design A thorough working knowledge of the numerous codes and standards that affect the industry is vital to proper fire protection systems selection and design. Our engineers are certified in code administration, fire protection engineering technology, plans examination, and construction administration. As an integral part of the systems selection process we prepare a fire protection code review and systems description for discussion with the various authorities having jurisdiction to receive their input and approvals before design work begins. Information Technology Systems Design Our experienced engineering team understands interdisciplinary coordination issues; that is, the logical, physical, and conceptual design aspects that comprise a truly integrated communications systems design. Information Technology Systems Training Proper systems training for the maintenance staff of a facility is critical for the successful daily operation of that facility. While specific equipment training is readily available, systems-level training is the most meaningful and worthwhile training available. Our training curriculum was developed through hands-on experience. The courses are CEU level classes with pre-training and post-training examinations for each class.
