Learn the Language Terms used in federal contracting may have a difference in meaning compared to commercial contracting. The many acronyms are important. Your proposal must demonstrate you understand the requirements. What you don t know can will hurt you. Knowing the language demonstrates seriousness of purpose. 33
Do Your Homework!!! Be aggressive on researching opportunities. Regular communications with stakeholders if the opportunity is there. Can you meet all schedule requirements? Can you meet all technical requirements? Explore creative / innovative solutions. Who is the competition? What makes you unique? Determine if the payment schedule meets your cash flow needs. 34
Proposals Should Demonstrate Your Best Effort Do not exaggerate. Be truthful. Make it easy to read. Avoid Typos and grammatical errors Check the project title, especially when copying another proposal. Be very careful when copying proposals. Answer all stated requirements in the solicitation.
