CE/Workshop Offerings Customer Service (4 Hours CE credit for OK, FL, TX, IN, and all other Reciprocal States) Customer service results have become a huge driver for most companies in our current business world. Claims are a unique business but what is the insurance company really selling? Customer Service at the time of a claim. This course is designed to provide useful customer service techniques for any business but is tailored for what we do Claims. Do s and Water Mitigation (4 Hours CE credit for OK, FL, TX, IN, and all other Reciprocal States) Basic Water Mitigation: Understanding the Principles is a four part course and designed to prepare you adjuster in understanding the concepts associated with structural drying. This course will address facts verses fiction and give you the knowledge necessary to understand what is appropriate and what is not. During this course you will be taught the four basic components required for understanding the drying process. This course will include practical review and evaluation of water mitigation estimates and show you how to identify excessive charges, inappropriate line items and charges that are not necessary or considered industry standards. This two day course uses the IICRC S500 Standard and Reference Guide for Professional Water Damage Restoration as a standard of practice and is referred to consistently though out the course. California Earthquake Accreditation Training (4 Hours CE credit for OK, FL, TX, IN, and all other Reciprocal States) California has a law that requires adjusters who handle earthquake claims in California to have a claims handling certificate. Adjusters who take this course will receive a certificate that is good for three years. What you learn in this class will serve you well even if your first earthquake claim is anywhere in the United States. Guest Instructor: Dan Dyce Appraisal Under the Policy (4 Hours CE credit for OK, FL, TX, IN, and all other Reciprocal States) Our course is designed to provide an interactive learning experience. Real-life scenarios are used to encourage discussion of the duties and responsibilities of the Appraiser. Everyday issues and complications that often arise during an appraisal are tackled. We discuss effective methods and practices to facilitate an appraisal from beginning to conclusion. The class also includes a discussion of ethical considerations and changes in case law impacting the appraisal process.

CE/Workshop Offerings (cont.) Ethics (3 Hours CE credit for OK, FL, TX, IN, and all other Reciprocal States) This required course is for all States and all adjusters as it is required to renew all adjuster licenses. Pacesetter has always provided this course as it is critically important information for any adjuster to be able to stay on the legal side of Unfair Claim Practices. It is filled with examples of what to do and not to do when dealing with consumers. We reference the State Statues as they apply to our Daily and Catastrophe work so our adjusters will be armed with the information to keep us out of trouble while doing our jobs. Using real and practical examples will keep this course from being dry and boring. Legislative Update (2 Hours CE credit for Oklahoma ONLY) This presentation is necessary for all Oklahoma License holders to be Compliant and able to Renew their OK License. It is a brief Update of all pertinent Legislative Updates and Changes made within the last 2 years and is mandated by the OK DOI. Pacesetter has provided this course and service since 2009 to assist our Staff and IA s easily comply with the OK License requirements. Earthquake Update (1 Hours CE credit for Oklahoma ONLY) Effective: Jan 1, 2015 This presentation is now a requirement for all OK License holders to be Compliant and able to renew their OK License. This is not a CEA Course, but is required since 1/1/15 by OK. It is Brief, to the point on the OK Earthquake Policy, Deductible and why it is required. No one else in our State is presently supplying this course and Pacesetter is again stepping up to be ahead of the curve on License renewal for our Staff and Adjusters. Xactimate Sketch (4 Hours CE credit for OK, FL, TX, IN, and all other Reciprocal States) This course will be a hands-on training class with limited seating offered each day of the conference. In which, you will explore Sketch techniques to sharpen your skills in how to add a roof, adjust dimensions, set parameters, and more. Attendees will need to bring their laptop and have a working version of Xactimate 28.0 before class. The trial version will be fine. Donan s most extensive roofing course features a wealth of information based on experience and research from our industry experts. Four hours in length, this advanced seminar provides an in-depth study of residential asphalt shingle roofing and includes topics ranging from understanding warranties and impact resistance standards to the implications of building code requirements and the utilization of science to determine potential causes of damage.

Guest Instructor for CEA Dan Dyce, CPCU RPA is a consultant specializing in residential earthquake claim handling. His forte is the ability to train claim adjusters on earthquake policy coverage and claim handling in a humorous and memorable way. For 14 years prior to 2015, he was the Claim Manager for the California Earthquake Authority (CEA), the largest residential earthquake insurance company in the USA. www.earthquakeauthority.com In that capacity, he oversaw the earthquake claim handling of the 17 member insurance companies who take and process CEA residential earthquake claims. He was previously a claim manager with CIGNA insurance company where he supervised property claims in seven Western states. Dan Dyce Dan is on the board of directors for The California Residential Mitigation Program (CRMP). Situational Awareness - Guest Speaker Marshall has been in law enforcement for 16 years. He has owned and successfully operated The Defensive Shooting Academy since 2000 and has assembled the finest instructor cadre in the industry. Together they are responsible for curriculum development and currently have 6 courses that are recognized by the Oklahoma Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training (C.L.E.E.T.). He is a C.L.E.E.T. certified rifle, shotgun and pistol instructor and has received over 1200 hours of training through various organizations and instructors. Over the last decade TDSA has trained countless numbers of police officers, military personnel and civilians. Marshall is a life member of the National Rifle Association and an NRA Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor for pistol and shotgun. He has won 5 State Championships, 4 Regional Championships and 1 National Championship with his pistol. He enjoys shooting IDPA and USPSA type competitions and has produced some of the top shooters in the Nation. He credits the success of TDSA to his instructors and lives to serve God and country.
