Calculaton of roject emssons Montorng arameters For the nstallaton of hgh effcency lghtng, reference emssons are calculated usng rated electrcty consumton of the lghtng multled by oeraton hours. Crteron 1 The roject nvolves mlementaton of one or more energy effcency measures categorzed n Table 1 by usng hgh effcency equment at an exstng faclty. Projects nvolvng nstallaton of hgh effcency lghtng need to be couled wth another energy savng measure(s) n order to be elgble under ths methodology. Hgh effcency equment ntroduced by the roject relaces the exstng equment or substtutes the outut of the exstng equment, and t s ncluded n the alcable technologes as shown n Table 1: Crteron 2 Crteron 3 Table 1 Alcable Technologes No Energy effcency Alcable technologes and ther crtera measures 1 Energy effcency mrovement by reducng fossl fuel consumton Hgh effcency boler wth the followng features: - Energy effcency s greater or equal to 93% (e.g. small once -through boler); - Equed wth automatc unt number control devce; and 2 Fuel swtch to electrcty and/or effcency mrovement 3 Installaton of hgh effcency lghtng - Indvdual erformance test reort s rovded. Heat recovery heat um usng electrcty, whch generates both coolng and heatng energy (temerature of hot water 80 C) and uses non-hfc refrgerant wth zero Ozone Deleton Potental (ODP) LED lghtng If the exstng equment s a chller contanng CFCs, HFCs, or HCFCs and s removed due to the roject, a lan to revent release of refrgerant used for the exstng chller nto the atmoshere s reared. Executon of the reventon lan s checked at the tme of verfcaton, n order to confrm that the refrgerant used for the exstng chller s not released to the ar. Hgh effcency equment n the roject guarantees a better erformance than the reference equment for a mnmum of one year. The erformance level can be confrmed by comarng the effcency or rated electrcty consumton between the hgh effcency equment and the reference equment, wth an evdence of ether a manufacturer s erformance guarantee or energy savng comany s (ESCO) energy savng guarantee of hgh effcency equment. such evdence s not avalable for the reference equment, hgh effcency equment n the roject guarantees a better erformance than the default effcency values rovded n the methodology. 3
