CONDITIONS FOR P ARTICIP ATI ON Proof of membership by valid national Federation passport with ETU/WTF member ship. All competitors have to proof their age and nationality by presenting their passport or identification card at the weigh-in. Those who are not recognized as adults (underage) by law in their own country must submit a passport or identification card together with a written consent (liability declaration) at registration signed by parents or lawful guardians, accepting the participation and all parts of the official invitation. All participants require a WTF Global Licence (GAL Global Athlete License or GOL Global Official License) and must be a member of a National Taekwondo Federation affiliated to the WTF. This membership must be proved at registration by providing a valid WTF Global Licence. Onsite registration for WTF Global License is not possible. Registration must be done in advance. A Global Licence check will be done at the onsite registration center before any individual is allowed to compete. The WTF Licence must be valid or renewed for 2016. Entry fees are obligated at all times. All participants of the German Open 2016 (officials & contestants) are responsible that they are registered and approved through their respective WTF Member National Association at least 1 month before the tournament it is required for. An approved 2016 WTF Global Licence (WTF Global Athlete Licence OR Global Offi Cial Licence) is required by all athletes and officials who wish to register for the Ger man Open 2016 WTF Global Licence registrations & renewals can only be made through the WTF recognized Member National Associations and application should be made at least 2 months before the Tournament starts to ensure the WTF licence can be processed and approved in time. Event Registration Registration is only accepted through the WTF Event Registration system https://www.hangastar.com/wtf/ and registration is only possible with a valid 2016 WTF Global Licence. The following documents are required for all participants to be uploaded and approved by the National Federation and WTF before you are able to register your team through the WTF Event Registration System. For ALL participants (athletes and officials) 1. Valid National ID or Passport of the National Federations you are registering for a WTF Global Licence. 2. Starting in both categories (juniors and seniors) is not possible. ONLINE-REGISTR ATION & DE ADLINE Online registration: Online registration will only be available through the WTF Global Membership System (GMS) at: www.hangastar.com/wtf Registration begins: Registration ends: 11.02.2016 11.04.2016 23:59 (German Time) CHANGE OF WEIGHT CLASSES Changing weight classes after April, 17th 2016 is only possible for a fee of 25,00 at registration at the Sporthalle. With the registration the competitors as well as the federations accept all points of the official invitation and outline EQUIPMENT PSS including e-head protectors from adidas KP&P will be provided for all competitors and each weight division (senior, junior, cadet). All contestants must bring their own WTF recognized equipment e.g. groin-, forearm-, shin-, mouthpiece, gloves and sensor socks (compulsory) Only headgear manufactured by our actual sponsor adidas is allowed during the competition. This Equipment must be borrowed from the Organizing Committee. Passport or ID-Card is necessary. ADMISSION/ TICKETS Adults: Children/ Juniors: 10,00 6,00

ENTRY FEE & PAYMENT Entry fee : 75,00 for each competitor Entry fees must be paid in Euro. Additional currency charges must be paid by the participating Team/ competitor. All currency charges which are charged to the account of the German Taekwondo Federation must be balanced cash during registration. Application is only valid when payment has been done to the bank account at the same time of registration and when payments of all entry fees have been received 3 days after registration. If payment has not been received in due time those registered athletes will be removed from the online registration again. If the athlete registered online does not take part in the competition, but he/she has not been removed from the list of participants before the deadline (11th of april 2016) his/her team or official must fully (100%) pay his/her Entry fee for participation Entry fees are not refundable at any time after the deadline! VISA The Organizing Committee recommends that visa application should be done at least one month prior to the entry into the Federal Republic of Germany. COACHES Each coach accompanied by at least four competitors receives free admission (limit five coaches). Coaches can enter the competition area only with proper sport shoes and tracksuit. Before weigh-in all coaches must have the Special ID-Cards for their whole team. Weigh-in and entry to the gymnasium only with Special ID-Cards. Special ID-Cards for all competitors and coaches! You can get these from the Organizing Committee at the registration center. All coaches need WTF-License (GOL) and (if applicable) Continental coach License. Only 1 competitor and 1 coach are allowed to enter the field of play. National teams are allowed to have following accreditations: 2 MNA officials, 1 official doctor (not second coach), 1 coach. Club teams can only register coach accreditations all other accreditations are not allowed. Please note that for every 5 competitors 1 coach is granted free admission. Additional coach ID-Cards can be purchased for 25,00 onsite at the registration center. REFEREES A maximum of four referees per participating nation will be admitted. Referees must be licensed by WTF and must send their application before March, 15th 2016 to thekla.oetjens-breitenfeld@dtu.de LIABILITY All participants of the German Open are aware to participate at their own risk. The registration application implies that the participants agree to assume responsibility for themselves and to release all others from all and any liability which may directly or indirectly result from the German Open. The German Taekwondo Federation (DTU) and the organizer assume no responsibility for any damages, injuries or losses and specifically note that they also take no responsibility for any damages, losses, injuries or other consequences due to (directly or indirectly) acts of terrorism, terrorist threats or act of nature. All contestants must bring their own documents and forms for any medical treatment in the Federal Republic of Germany. If not, this will have to be paid in cash. All participants & visitors need to have a valid Identification by means of a valid passport or other official identification document!

COMPETITON RULES & MODE Competition Rules: The current competition rules of the WTF are valid. Competition Mode: Single elimination tournament system (K.O. system) The referee director DTU and WTF Technical Delegate can decide to adjust the competition. Instant Video Replay: Instant Video Replay system will be used on all competition areas Quota: 2 quota until and including semi-final 1 bonus quota will be given in final when all quotas have been used. Doping Control: Some contestants chosen at random will be tested. With his/her participation the competitor accepts the agreement with the NADA/WADA. Entry Field of Play: Only the competitors and their coaches will have admittance with valid accreditations to the field of play CLASSIFICATION & AWARDS Classification: Places 1 to 3 will be scored for classification of Teams and Nations. The key 6 3 1 will be used. Award presentation: 1st, 2nd and two 3rd places will be awarded with Medals (Individuals) Trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for Teams and Nations List of results: The competitors agree with the announcement, that the first and last name, the weight category, the Nation/Organization and the placing in the list of results will be reported in the internet as well as in printed media.

ACCOMMODATION GUIDE The Organizing Committee is holding an allocation of rooms in Hamburg during the German Open 2016. Participants are encouraged to book their required number of rooms early to ensure availability. Hamburg is a major World attraction for culture, sport & business as such hotels can be in short supply and hotels rates high especially when booking late. Room allotment is limited. Your room reservation request will be treated accord ing to the space availability at each Hotel. The rooms will be available from 15:00h on the day of arrival and until 11:00h/12:00h on the day of departure. (depending on each Hotel) For the check in at the Hotel a valid credit card is compulsory.
