1. Overview RunCore Hurricane Series, the first generation of PMC solid-state memory card (RCH-I-PU3 series Solid State Storage Card), in compliance with standard design IEEE1386.1,Air-cooling standard design,support two types of flash storage media SLC and MLC, capacity range - 32GB~128GB(SLC)and 32GB~512GB(MLC)respectively. RCH-I-PU3 Series PMC solid-state memory card support software RAID feature PCI-SATA bridge chip, and two SATA solid-state memory cell constituted is compatible with 32bit 33/66MHz PCI Transfer Protocol. It provides two equal sets of SATA SSD storage spaces, each set of space s write and read speed is up to 70MB/S. Using different operating system like Window, Linux and Vxworks, it then enable to do RAID0 (Stripe) and RAID1 (Mirror) mode of data transmission, which also provides the features such as superior performance and data security. Under the RAID0 (stripe) mode of data transition, its speed is up to 120MB/S. The storage card is using the industrial level of SATA SSD controller, which provides a reliable ECC standard. Using flash as the storage medium, it has a quite working performance. The storage is using a Loss balance algorithm and bad block management techniques to ensure that the users can access accurately and consistently. Flash s life is generally restricted by the number of times of accessing. In order to extend the life of the hard disk, one key self-destruction has integrated the benefits of balance of loss of special algorithm and bad block management algorithm, which ensure that the hard disk read and write cycles will cover all of the flash memory area. This algorithm can eliminate the repeated operation in one single memory area, which prevents the flash memory blocks in advance by wear and tear. Without power supplied, data in Runcore s solid state disk storage can still maintain up to 10 years validity. Under any certain circumstances, stored data can extend the retention period and there would not be any sudden loss. Compared with the mechanical hard drive, RCH-I-PU3 Series PMC solid-state memory card does not use any mechanical moving parts. With superior performance, high reliability and low power consumption, these advantages able to adapt wide flexibility application in
different kinds of environment, which also has a broad application prospects in military aerospace defense. Features: All solid states are high-speed; large capacity; reliable; security; shock-proof; wide temperature range

RAID Controller PCI industry protocol standard is compatible with 32bit 33MHz and 66MHz transmission mode, effectively compatible with a variety of computer platforms and operating systems, and can support two types of RAID configuration mode - RAID0 and RAID1. These two sets of SATA SSD controller manage the 16 NAND Flash, compatible with SLC and MLC type of card with a maximum total capacity of up to 512GB, and provides a fast data elimination function keys.

This can be performed to different type of data even confidential data and will not cause any damage to the SSD. This method is simple and effective. Destruction speeds is up to 5GB / s, and can be applied to various fields with data security requirements. Destruction Mode Operation: 1 Connect to a power supply, to make the board in a working condition; 2 Switch ON, to enable the destruction function LED4 will lit; 3 Press the destruction key for 1 second, and hold it for about a second; 4 As the memory card is in destruction state, it has a destruction rate of 5GB/s; 5 When the destruction function is completed, SSD0 and SSD1 already in non-partitioned condition;
2.4 Performance Table PMC memory card is working in 32bit 66MHz mode by making RAID0 configuration, has sustained read and write performance of up to 170MB/s (read) and 110MB/s (write). 3. Installation Instruction 3.1 Hardware Installation 1 It depends on the application requirements, please select either XMC or PMC carrier board and must comply with the standard air-cooled heat dissipation structure in accordance to section 2.3 in providing heat in the cooling side of metal strips. CPCIe Carrier board as shown: 2 XMC or PMC memory card will be completely assembled in the right side direction of the carrier board, and fasten the screws.
3 Installing the card into the computer system 3.2 X86 Platform BIOS RAID Configuration In the X 86 platforms, you can manage and setup the RAID by using BIOS RAID tools. During system boot-up and loading of operating system, the following window will appear for about 5 seconds, and then press CTRL+S or F4 to enter BIOS RAID and configure the interface.
RAID configuration tool interface is divided into four parts with a command-line In the main menu (upper left corner) of this window you can select what is going to be implemented: Create RAID Set:will create a new RAID component or allocate new location to hard disk drive Delete RAID Set:will delete the RAID component or remove the location from hard drive Rebuild RAID 1 Set:after replacement of a hard drive, re-create RAID1 component Resolve Conflicts:after removing the hard disk, it will check for any errors in RAID
configuration drive ports, and RAID components will restore the normal working condition. Low Level Format:In removing a single hard drive does not format the hard drive nor allocate the remaining space. Logical Drive Info:it will show only the actual allocation of the buffer space of each RAID configuration information, and do not allocate the SATA adapter on the physical drive. Help section:in the upper right corner of the Help section, display context-sensitive help and status information. Physical Drive:Lower-left corner displays connection to the SATA adapter on the hard disk type and the capacity. Logical Drive:The lower right corner displays all hard drives connected to the controller Shows RAID components and JBOD hard drive under the system BIOS Spare hard disk, keeping the hard drive may lead to some conflict, and the BIOS may not recognize this as bad disk and it will be displayed at the bottom of this section. Useful command can be found at the bottom of the command line: Up and down arrows - to select a menu option or action ESC - back to the previous menu Enter to select any highlighted word Ctrl-E will exit configuration menu, depend on their operating condition. 3.3 Drivers Installation Please select the CD-ROM Driver according to the corresponding operating system. 3.4 Partition Configuration Based on RAID configuration and operating system, two completed SSD or two separate SSD can be identified after driver installation 1 In Windows and Linux operating system, it will only identify BIOS RAID configuration but in the case of no BIOS RAID acknowledged in the RAID configuration, it will be acknowledged as two separate storage devices.
2 In the Vxworks system, it will be acknowledged as two separate storage devices. In the case of two separate storage devices being acknowledged, it can use the software or operating system to provide the tools to acknowledged RAID0 (Stripe) or RAID1 (Mirror) operation, to increase the performance or security. IN addition, it can be partitioned of formatted based on the application requirements after the equipments acknowledged it. 3.5 Boot-up Configuration Memory card support the operating system to boot, the operating system installed can be used as guide for the memory card during the installation. 1. Computer boot-up, and enter the BIOS set-up. device. 2. Enter the BIOS boot option and set the memory card bootable
