Infinity Central Monitoring and Remote Access Solutions Reaching beyond the point of care Emergency Care Perioperative Care Critical Care Perinatal Care Home Care Because you care
At Dräger, we re committed to helping you improve patient care by giving you easy access to the information you need to make decisions when and where you need it. That s why in addition to bringing patient information to the point of care, we also offer integrated solutions for central and remote access monitoring. Infinity CentralStation The Infinity CentralStation gathers and displays information from Infinity patient beside monitors and Infinity Telemetry for up to 32 patients. Data accessible from the Infinity CentralStation includes alarms, real-time waveforms and parameters, laboratory values, and respiratory and ventilator information. The applications in the Infinity CentralStation enhance patient care management by providing rapid assessment, decision support and clinical reporting. Event and Full Disclosure Every Infinity CentralStation includes two hours of Event and Full Disclosure as a standard feature, including electronic ECG calipers. Built-in Event and Full Disclosure capabilities reduce the need to purchase separate, costly hardware. The Infinity CentralStation provides continuous storage for up to 16 waveforms, and 1,000 arrhythmia and alarm events for up to 72 hours to support the most complex monitoring. All events are classified and grouped by event type, making it easier to review and assess a patient s response to treatment. Arrhythmia events are detected with an unprecedented degree of accuracy using the multi-lead Arrhythmia Classification Expert (ACE ) algorithm.
Patient Census The Infinity CentralStation offers a seamless view of Full and Event Disclosure records, even when patients are transferred from care unit to care unit within the Infinity Network. This powerful feature organizes retrospective information into a comprehensive patient history. VentCentral The VentCentral application gathers ventilation and hemodynamic data for improved patient respiratory analysis. It provides ventilator settings, respiratory waveforms and parameters, flow-volume and pressure-volume loops, laboratory data, and trends. ST Segment Analysis For timely identification and treatment of ischemia, the Infinity CentralStation continuously monitors ST changes based on individual patient needs. You can superimpose stored reference QRS complexes over current complexes to detect subtle deviations. 12-Lead Rest ECG Analysis The Infinity CentralStation generates diagnostic 12-lead reports when connected to Infinity monitors equipped with a 12-lead capability. Reliable measurements and interpretations are based on the Glasgow Interpretive ECG algorithm for pediatric and adult patients. This proven algorithm considers patient age, gender, race, and medical and clinical classification providing a more accurate interpretation. Trend Display To quickly determine the changes in a patient s condition, Infinity CentralStation presents graphical and tabular trends. Features such as automatic scaling help clinicians identify slight variations that may occur with discrete parameters.
Infinity Remote Clinical Applications Information beyond the point of care The Infinity Symphony Suite expands your access to valuable information stored at the Infinity CentralStation by making it available virtually anywhere on your hospital intranet. When deployed with Infinity WebViewer and VentWatch, Infinity Symphony provides near-real-time views of monitored patient information and ventilation data with a single sign-on and integrated patient selection. With Infinity Symphony, you can view vital signs data from Infinity patient bedside monitors and Infinity Telemetry from any location with access to your hospital s intranet. Whether you re at the bedside or a remote location, you can view up to 16 stored waveforms including ECG, respiratory, hemodynamic and EEG. You can also access up to 1,000 arrhythmia and alarm events and trending, and generate a wide variety of chart-ready reports. Infinity Symphony also supports privacy and confidentiality initiatives related to patient data and uses Microsoft Windows user accounts for authentication to simplify system administration.
For hospitals that prefer a client/ server deployment, Infinity WinView can be used with networked PCs. Both Infinity WebViewer and Infinity WinView present information in the familiar format of the Infinity bedside display with the ability to show visual alarms. By adding VentWatch to either Infinity WebViewer or Infinity WinView, you can view a patient s near-real-time respiratory information. You can also choose to utilize Microsoft Pocket PC devices with the Pocket WinView application to access near-real-time monitoring data while on the move. Simply put, Infinity patient monitoring provides a variety of solutions to make valuable information that was once accessible only at the central station available virtually anywhere via your hospital intranet. Infinity Interface Options Cardiology Lab Infinity Network Infinity Gateway Hospital Network Admissions Clinical Information System Paging System Infinity Interface Options Enhance data exchange beyond the monitoring network The Infinity Network is carefully designed to leverage your existing hospital IT investments. The Infinity Gateway Suite offers a set of interface options, opening a variety of possibilities. These applications enhance data exchange beyond the Infinity Network to paging systems, ECG management systems, laboratory devices, and clinical and administrative systems. Paging Interface Option The Paging Interface Option exports alarm data from Infinity Telemetry or bedside monitors to your hospital s paging system. With features such as event logging and reporting, paging management is improved. A Pager Control Station application is included, which allows clinical users to intuitively control the occurrence of pages, adjust alarm levels, and administer pager assignments. HL7 Interface Options The HL7 Interface Options comply with the HL7 2.3 protocol used by most hospital information systems. These interfaces export vital signs and import admission data in both unsolicited and solicited formats, allowing a level of customization, and import and export HL7 laboratory data. Other interface options The ASTM Stat Lab Interface Option complies with ASTM E1381-91 and E1394-91, and connects the Infinity Gateway to the point-of-care laboratory devices for displaying lab results on Infinity monitors. Also, the12-lead Export interface option automatically forwards 12-lead rest ECG reports from the Infinity Network to cardiology databases such as GE/Marquette s Muse CV information system.
Infinity Developer s Tools Create custom applications Infinity developer s tools allow you to leverage Infinity Network data to create custom applications. These tools help programmers focus on the presentation aspects of clinical data for faster development and maintenance of complex clinical information systems applications. With Infinity developer s tools, Dräger Medical shows a clear commitment to open systems by providing the capability of integrating Infinity data with customized clinical applications that exist in your hospital environment. File Access File Access is a powerful utility that collects patient demographics and vital signs data, including parameters and alarms, from the Infinity Network and exports it in ASCII text format. ASCII text files can be easily imported into a variety of clinical information systems and commercial spreadsheet applications. WinAccess API The WinAccess API is a powerful Application Programming Interface (API) that can be used to integrate Infinity Network data (waveforms, parameters, alarms, demographics) with custom applications. It is designed for experienced developers with an understanding of API programming using C or C++ programs. In addition, the WinAccess API can also be configured to create 12-Lead Rest ECG output files for use by custom applications.
