CA Productivity Accelerator v12.1.0.1: Technical Specifications CA Productivity Accelerator is a single, synchronized content development platform which allows organizations deliver a broad range of user training and support materials reducing content development costs and accelerating user adoption. This document provides the minimum system requirements for various CA Productivity Accelerator components. Your organization might be implementing some or all of these components, so refer to the sections that are applicable to you. Multi-Developer Install The content authors who create training and support content use the CA Productivity Accelerator development tool. This section outlines the technical requirements for a multi-developer installation. In a multi-developer installation, the core CA Productivity Accelerator development tool files are installed on a central server for content sharing, and a client version of the CA Productivity Accelerator development tool is installed locally on the content author s workstation. Server Requirements for a Multi-Developer Install 4 cores; 2 GHz or greater 4 GB or greater 100 MB for program files 100 MB connection capable of communicating vai HTTP(S) and TCP/IP Connection used for communication between the development server and the database server. Content Publication This section discusses the system requirements for published output from CA Productivity Accelerator that is, the content that end users will view and use. After recording CA Productivity Accelerator content using CA Productivity Accelerator developer tools, content authors will publish the content to one or more different published outputs. There are three types of published outputs discussed in this document: player, learning management system (LMS), and HTML Web site. Server Requirements for Player and LMS Package and HTML Web Site 4 cores; 2 GHz or greater 2 GB or greater Between 500MB and 4GB of physical storage is adequate for most implementations 100 Mb/sec. capable of communicating via HTTP(S) and TCP/IP Connection utilized for communication between the web server and content consumers. Web server LMS package Any. Both 32-bit and 64-bit versions supported. Any Compliant with AICC 3.5, SCORM 1.2, or SCORM 2004 (4 th edition). Note: AICC deployments utilize a Java applet for LMS server communication. Oracle JRE is required on client workstations. Knowledge Center CA Productivity Accelerator includes an additional component called the CA PA Knowledge Center. The CA PA Knowledge Center enables the management of content and users, content deployment and access control, as well as usage tracking and reporting of deployed content. This section discusses the requirements for implementing this component.
