Abacus Payroll software must be downloaded through Internet Explorer or any other related internet software. Click on Save button Please take note of where you save the "Abacus CD.zip" file, as you would need to execute the software from that location. For this example we will save the software on your local Desktop. Right click on the Abacus CD.zip icon. Click on Install button. Once you select the "Install" option, Abacus Payroll will be installed. Depending on your computer configuration and current software, additional software might be required, which will be indicated during the installation. You can follow the screen prompts that will guide you through that process. User will now be able to login into Abacus Payroll Software Demo Version. Double click on Abacus Logo on dektop. The username and Password is already completed. Click on login button. User has access to demo version of Abacus Payroll Software. 8 P a g e
Step2 Register for Online Training Return to www.abacuspayroll.co.za and complete step 2 should you be interested to register for our online training. The user is also welcome to contact us on our support line or mail should he rather require one-on-one training from one of our Abacus Certified Agents. An activation key will be emailed to the user once ABACUS has received payment for the training. Abacus Payroll Software may not be activated unless the user received the necessary User Training. Step 3 - Activating ABACUS Payroll Software version 4.4 At this point the user has received a mail from Abacus with an activation key to enable user to activate Abacus Payroll Software. Step5 Set up the User with User Rights Return to User Screen Field User Name: Password: Email Address: Confirm Email Address: Company: Description Enter the new user s name e.g.johan Potgieter Enter a unique password. This is the User Name and Password the User will use to log into Abacus Payroll software in future. Enter the user s email address. Confirm the above entered email address. Click on Ok button Click on button Set User Rights. The System Administrator will at this point give specific user rights to the user by right clicking in the tick boxes next to the description. Should the user have all rights then click in the tickbox Administrator (Full Access) to give the user full access to all functions. Click on Save button. Click on OK button.
