Meet Alli I have a passion for outdoor activities including volunteer fire fighting and rock climbing, and hoped for a job in events that included those interests. A qualification from CoEM can lead you into a fulfilling and exciting role CoEM is a very small and personal college and the course focused specifically on event management, nothing else. That was exactly the criteria I was looking for. I am now the sales and activities coordinator for Urban Expeditions who run adventure programs for Sydney s youth. The practical information that I learned from the course helped me so much. It was easy to walk into an interview and a job knowing that I had solid and practical information that I could actually use in the work place. Meet Kirrily I was lucky enough to find a great role in Wedding and Event Sales and Coordination only three weeks out from graduation. It s go-go-go all day every day but I love the intensity! My incredible course co-ordinator was vital in securing the role. The events industry is such a small world and the connections found within the college are invaluable. I ve had the pleasure of working with many brides since starting in my role and often think how lucky I am to be able to contribute to such an important day and help create memories that last a lifetime. I often say to myself, This is why you changed careers!

Meet Danni-elle Studying at College of Event Management has been one of the best things I have done for myself in a long time. The college prepared us so well for a career in events because everything we learnt was relevant, including a wide variety of volunteering opportunities. I also learnt to be a lot more organised and to believe in myself and my ability to produce great work. Towards the end of my course I successfully applied for an internship with a fantastic event production and styling company in Melbourne who cover a lot of events with a real focus on styling I started the week of our graduation! Six months later I m working in a full time role as an account coordinator with their amazing client base and loving it. I love the last minute stress just before the event starts, I love looking over at the attendees and seeing them enjoy themselves, I love the fast paced working environment and having to constantly think on your feet. Meet Max I knew all along that I wanted to be an event manager in the music industry. I knew the best way to achieve that goal was to find the most practical, hands-on course that taught me exactly what I needed to know to get there. I loved everything about the course. It was the first time I had ever enjoyed doing work! The way the course was delivered with a mix of presentations, guest lecturers, site visits and independent research kept it really interesting. I was lucky enough to land a great job in the music industry not long after graduating. After working there for a year I was promoted to Operations Manager. Essentially, I run a national music tour, overseeing the day-to-day operations throughout the planning and execution of those events. Because of the expertise and guidance of everyone at the college and throughout the course, I m one step closer to realising the dream of running my very own music festival.
