ACADEMIC SKILL ATTAINMENT The academic attainment measure is based on the number of CTE concentrators who score proficient or advanced on the end-of-course Literacy and Geometry assessments. CTE concentrators are those students who have completed at least three units from a program of study in grades 9-12 and are leaving the secondary education system during the reporting year. --------------- LITERACY -------------- ------------------- GEOMETRY ------------------ PCT of concentrators proficient in Literacy: 62.38% PCT of concentrators proficient in Geometry 75.84% Consortia/DistrictTarget: 70.21% Consortia/District Target: 73.38% District.rating: Below Target Met Target CTE SKILL ATTAINMENT CTE Skill Attainment is based on the number of CTE concentrators who score proficient on the CTE competency tests. PCT of concentrators proficient: 71.86% Consortia/District Target: 59.30% District rating: Met Target Another factor in CTE Skill Attainment is the proficiency of all students tested during the year. During the 2010-11 school year 64.45% of students tested proficient. GRADUATION The graduation rate for concentrators is based on the number of students identified as concentrators the beginning of their senior year (completed at least two units in one occupational area) compared with the number of those who graduated. PCT of concentrators graduated 97.20% Consortia/District Target: 94.90% District rating: Met Target PLACEMENT Placement is based on the status of completers six months following graduation. Completers who pursued opportunities in postsecondary education, the workforce, or military are considered positive placements. PCT positive placement: 98.11% Consortia/District Target: 99.30% District rating: Below Target COMPLETERS OF PROGRAM STUDY A completer is a graduate who successfully completed three or more units of credit within a program of study, including all the core requirements for that program of study. There are two measures for this indicator. The first is the number of completers compared to the number of graduates. The state average in 2010-11 was 38.75%. The second is the number of seniors enrolled in career and technical classes compared to the number of completers. The state average in 2010-11 was 45.85%. If a program is offered at a secondary vocational center, students must be enrolled in the current school year. Springdale High School offered 20 programs of study in 19 different career cluster pathways. Springdale Har-Ber High School offered 14 programs of study in 14 different career cluster pathways. 24.84% Number of seniors compared to completers 33.90%
